The knife in the picture is like the burger in a fast food ad with the lettuce that actually looks appetizing. This knife is the sandwich you get with the smashed bun, meat and cheese both off center and ketchup everywhere. The blade is loose enough to move between handle plates and they are not aligned. There are rough spots in the wood where it was not properly sanded and could easily splinter. There are even some gouges that chunked out. The worst part is the brass end cap is loose and deformed. The whole knife rattles, if it loosens further it could create some nasty pinch points. I'm shocked that the knife was loose in the Amazon bag and didn't rip it. The corners are not razor blades but the are sharp. If you love the sound in the video, buy this now. ... show more

Works very well in industrial settings to scrape gunk off of machines/parts and seperate pieces that are stuck together. The back cap is nice so you can use a hammer to help with the more stubborn things.

Replaced an old one and find the fit and finish of the new ones are not the same; the blade is still as good but the handle parts were very loose on one of the two I ordered, received a replacement and the brass handle end on that is better but still slightly loose - the old ones were solid and felt good in your hand, the new ones feel like a blade slapped between two different sized pieces of wood topped off with a cheap brass cap - I will keep them but am really disappointed in current quality Red Devil is putting out ... show more

if you're like me you use this size scraper for everything. I had one like this years ago and it got misplaced. I couldn't find a wooden handle scraper at any of the big box stores so I went on line. This one is well made though the brass end cap is hollow. Cant use it for a hammer to reset nails. It looks good though. Well made for the price. ... show more

My putty knife came shipped with a metal tab protruding from the putty knife end. I had to grind it off on my grinder to smooth out that surface as it should have been from the factor. The wooden grips also did not fit well, and there was a large gap at the top where the brass grommet for the hole passes through. I would not recommend this to anyone. ... show more

Hard-cap is extreme loose, mishapshapen, rattles, wood handle doesn’t aline well, and is gouged and not sanded. Overall very poorly made. Absolutely horrible. Don’t buy it u less you want to be disappointed.
