This is really saying something, because I own a lot of caps. My first Red Canoe cap was a Christmas gift–it's the yellow cap of the same design. I was so happy with that one that I checked Amazon to see if they carried the same brand. They do, and I ordered the navy blue Army Air Corps cap. Most caps I have the opportunity to try on before I purchase. In the past, caps I have ordered online have disappointed in fit or quality, but the blue cap is my absolute favorite. The hate is, I belief, a bit pricey, but that is my only complaint. I love the heavy burnt yellow color. The cloth isn't the tiniest bit cheap, like those horrid caps that Trump always wears to keep his hair from flying loose (the reason he always wears a cap for outdoor events). To be fair, tractor companies have been popularizing extraordinarily cheap caps for years and as much as I loved my father, I could never get him to see the difference in quality of a nylon baseball cap and a 100% cotton fitted cap. Anyway, the cap is pretty close to perfect. You can get better fitting caps, but only if you are buying a baseball cap. In that case you can get specifically sized caps, but sadly all other caps are made to fit several head sizes. The brim is the kind I like best, with an exaggerated curve. I pretty much detest flat brim caps (ironically preferred by both Trump fans and rappers). The more curve the better, the closer to a 1950s baseball cap, the better. All in all, this might be the best brim I've ever seen in a cap. I cannot say how much I love the basic design of the cap. Which leaves the roundel. My big fear was that this might end up a cap with a dyed rather than pieced together roundel. No fears were warranted. This is a round blue disc with a white star stitched on top of that with a round red circle stitched on top of that, exactly as it should be. This month is the 75th Anniversary of the Battle of the Coral Sea and next month the 75th Anniversary of the Battle or Midway, and in August the same with the most important battle of WW II for the US, Guadalcanal (our first offensive battle of the war and more importantly a six month battle or attrition in which the Japanese lost men and materiel that they would never make up, while the US was gearing up for a manufacturing effort likes of which the world has never seen. The US would rid themselves of the roundel towards the end of 1942, but I have a real nostalgia for it. All in all, this is a perfect hat. I have a lot of hats that I really love, but this could well be the hat that supplants pretty much all of the others. ... show more

Are you really going to use that argument? "How can RED Canoe make a YELLOW cap?" Listen - I could speak until i'm BLUE in the face, but here's all you need to know: this cap is AWESOME. It's quality - it's so well built you'll be passing it down to future generations. It makes your head look better than it currently does. And there's a reason why it's yellow - but drag your rump to the Red Canoe site and read for yourself. But prior to that, just buy it! ... show more

Good looking cap, however, for a larger head (7 3/4) the adjustment (hook and loop) sticks out and looks odd. I expected more for the price. Disappointed.

These are really well made aviation themed hats. I just replaced one I have had for 7yrs. Love the way these sit low on your head and are very comfortable.

The Hat looks cool on the shelf but it is not low profile, not even a little bit. I’ve bought hats from Red Canoe before and they were true low profile but not with the last two.
