Took a chance because I’m sick of liquid flux and this paste is so so much better. I don’t think it’s the “standard” paste flux used for stained glass but it absolutely works. There’s no popping, it distributes solder like butter. Cleans easily and with the size of this tub it’s going to last forever. Tested it out on some glass globs and I can’t believe the difference. Solder looks clean and smooth, much less to clean off from the burned liquid flux. 10/10 ... show more

As a professional plumber I use this flux every time I solder. I have no problems with it as long as I don't keep it for more than about 6 months. I buy the regular flux when the weather warms up around April or May then around October I throw it out and buy the cold weather flux. I'm not sure if it's normal or not but after that amount of time the flux just doesn't work like it should for me, whether it's being contaminated from normal use on the job with stuff falling into the can or whether the flux itself is just getting old, it's what I have to do. ... show more

I tried the liquid one. No way compared to this paste. I will never go back. My solder flows so smoothly. The liquid flux spattered solder. Because it’s liquid there’s almost no way not to use too much. But this paste stuff is a dream. Works excellent for stained glass art.
