Description

Kester flux-pen is a unique tool for rework and touch-up soldering. It allows controlled application of flux, eliminating the mess from flux bottles. The chisel point allows for work in very confined spaces. The flux pen is ideally suited for tab assembly no-clean and surface mount rework application because it can deliver flux to a specific area. Kester 951 is a Halogen-free, non- rosin organic flux pen that is specifically designed for rework of conventional and surface mount circuit board assemblies. The extremely low solids content (2.0 percent ) and nature of the activator system results in practically no residue left on the assembly after soldering. There are no residues to interfere with electrical testing. Kester 951 exhibits improved soldering performance to minimize solder bridges (shorts) during rework operations., country of origin - United States, manufacturer name - Kester.

  • Great product at a good price
Are you, like me, a builder? If you work on electronics kits like ham radio equipment sometimes you need flux to complete a join. This will do the job for you. 73

  • Works well
We use these a lot for our hand production. They work well and dispense about the right amount of flux. The flux stays clear and is hard to see when dry on the PCB. You can press down on the tip to get a faster flow. You must be diligent about putting the top back on tightly or it will get dried out. They will last for months after opening if you jam the top back on. I like these better than the competitor we've used before (don't remember the brand) ... show more

  • First flux pen
Works as expected. No problems. The flux seems very good quality. The flux is pretty thin, if you push the tip in for to long it will drip off the tip.

  • Very handy
This is a very easy to use way to apply flux. I use it for building and repairing quad copters and it makes soldering a lot easier.

  • A great way to apply flux
This is a great way to apply flux on a PCB. Gently press the felt tip of the pen against the surface and it will go inside the shaft producing a tiny pool of flux on the board. You don't have to press hard or stay too long. Then use the felt tip to spread the flux over the points you want it! Kudos to Kester for this great product! ... show more

  • Quality flux pen under 10 bucks
Good no clean pen made by a reputable company (Kester). My pen had a recent date code and the flux flows out of it nicely after you press the tip in a few times on something firm. Very satisfied for seven bucks. UPDATE: Flux no longer flowing out nicely. Have to really press it hard on something and still doesn't flow heavily like it should be. Good flux, bad pen design or something. ... show more
