  • Substantially Built, Lowest price.
Size: 5-Step
Try to find any ladder at this price point. And this one is 60" tall with 5 steps! The steps are wide as well so plenty of footing. It is very sturdy, comes with stainless steel fasteners. The mounting bolts included are for boat decking. I'm using it as a dock ladder so I purchased some stainless steel lags for the mounts on the inch and a half decking. The J hook and latch design are perfect as the ladder is removeable instead of fixed. Especially handy on a boat I'm sure but for the dock as well. We are in brackish water so I can put it out when needed and store it when not needed, it is very light weight making it an easy task. This ladder is perfect for my needs, sturdy and affordable. ... show more

  • Awesome ladder for my needs
Size: 5-Step
Well constructed. Solid as a rock. Easy to assemble and to mount/dismount on my pier. The rungs are a bit wider than some in this price range which is an added plus.

  • Works well for me
Size: 5-Step
This ladder came in a well designed carton, no problems with damage and with all necessaary nuts and bolts with good instructions. And a 1-800 number to call if there were any problems. The attachment clamp seems to be designed for attachment to a pontoon boat. I wanted a permanent mount on my dock so I drilled holes in the horizontal square tubes that rest on the dock and attached with lag bolts. I also embedded the lower legs into the lake bed making for a very secure installation. For use, the angle of the latter makes it more of a stair, making it easy to go up down. ... show more

  • Dock ladder
Size: 5-Step
Bought this ladder to replace the same model ladder which was damaged by a boat running into it. Had the previous one for many years and liked the ease of unattaching it and it's durability. It does have some sharp edges but no one ever cut themselves on it.

  • just what I was looking for!
Size: 5-Step
I am very happy with this ladder. Our deck is 6 ft off the ground. We have an above ground pool on the ground below the deck. We use to have to access the pool from the ladder that came with the pool which is on the ground. Our feet would track sand and grass into the pool and make it so you had to go down the stairs case n the deck and around the lawn. I wanted a ladder that I could just enter the pool from off the deck. I had trouble finding a ladder that was self supported only from the top of the deck and was long enough to go from the deck and down inside the pool. This ladder was great find! It is sturdy, long (5 steps), looks nice and is make of aluminum so it will last. And it was easy to build. It is built well and no sharp parts on our hands or feet or the pool! It does not need support from the bottom rails. It hangs from just the top of the deck. No matter how you attach the ladder to your deck always use the supplied under deck plate to make it stronger and no damage to your deck boards. It comes with everything you need! It even does well with guys that weight almost 300lbs! :) ... show more

  • Nice ladder!
Size: 5-Step
Ordered on Monday afternoon from Recpro Marine and it was on my doorstep Wednesday afternoon! Assembly was pretty straightforward, which was nice considering the instructions left much to be desired. Took me about 20 min including digging out and putting up tools. If you're mechanically inclined, it's not a big deal. Hardware was all high quality stainless which is necessary to keep everything from rusting in the wet conditions. Tools needed: Phillips screwdriver or driver bit 3/8" and 7/16"(11mm)socket or wrench 3/16" drill bit *power drill or impact driver speed up the assembly process* Using this as a permanent setup on a dock. Felt a little chinzy when I got it all put together, but was impressed in how sturdy it was once I put it in the water. The angled steps make all the difference when climbing up and down. Had a 3-step folding ladder that made exiting the water feel like way more work than it should have been. I might add some extra u-bolts on the bottom support channel to help sturdy it up a little, but it will probably be overkill. It works great out of the box with just the included hardware. *If you want to save a few bucks, just get the 4-step model instead. I find that the lowest step isn't really needed* ... show more

  • Easy to get in and out of water
Size: 5-Step
We are really liking our new ladder. We installed it on the front of our pontoon. Install was simple. Really helps having the wide slats on the steps. And appreciate that it goes down into the water further than our ladder on the back of the pontoon. Having the angle and also the handles at top make it easier to get out. ... show more

  • A good value
Size: 5-Step
Looked at a lot of steps for stationary boat dock. Live on a river with 30" average tide. Most adjustable dock mounted ladders end up in the water at least part of the tide sequence. Tried my neighbors lift up slide steps with narrow steps and didn't like them (hurt my feet and the bottom steps stayed in the water when the bottom slide was lifted.) Algae or barnacles grow on the steps when they remain in the water, so we can remove the ladder steps when we aren't swimming. The steps are easy enough for my wife to remove. Storage location needs to be identified before you buy them, but they are light enough to be lifted to overhead storage if necessary. Bought 5 step ladder, but wish I had bought a 6 step ladder for low tide situations. Load tested to 250 pounds and still seemed to be sturdy. Bought an extra set of mounting brackets so we can relocate the ladder on the swimming deck if desired. ... show more
