They are challenging to get open to put the card inside, but not too much. They serve the purpose. Got a bunch of them. The recipe card loads from the end instead of the top.

These are absolutely great card protectors for my 3x5 recipe and index cards. When I received them, they were not what I was expecting. They were more the consistency of a thin type crinkle like cellophane material. I was actually a little disappointed, but for the price, I decided to give them a try. To my surprise I found they’re very durable. I’ve not had one split yet as others that I’ve used in the past. The sleeve is a small fraction bigger than my standard 3x5 recipe or index cards making them the perfect size. They slide easily over my cards without any difficulty. The sleeve extends about an 1/8 of an inch beyond the end of the card once it’s inserted. They’re crystal clear in transparency. I’ve had no problem with them yellowing, nor any haziness that I get with the soft plastic protector sleeves I’ve used in the past. With a card inserted, they fit nicely into my 3x5 recipe box w/out any bulkiness or having to be trimmed. The best part, they’re economically priced compared to others I’ve used. This was my third order buying 2-3 packs of 200 at a time. I definitely recommend them if you’re interested in trying them. I received NO free products or gratuity for this review; just my honest opinion expressed related to my experience with using them .

I went in knowing these are very thin and I might not like them, but boy did they surprise me! They fit my 4x6 recipe cards perfectly and I did not have any trouble with them ripping, as others mentioned. I mean, if you have more than 200 recipes that a couple covers splitting are an issue, maybe you should just write a cookbook. I am VERY happy with this product, And it was half the price of the other brands! It is a thin cello material, but it works perfectly and does the job. I also think if you must, you could fit a couple of cards per sleeve, so one card fits fine. I highly recommend this product.

These card protectors are perfect. They fit into my recipe box perfectly and they keep my cards from being spilled on (which I regularly do). They are clear, glossy, and easy to flip through. They are slightly larger than the card size, which is actually good because it keeps the card from falling out or sticking out the open side.

The sturdiness for actual recipe cards would be a 5 star, but I’m not using these for that purpose on this particular purchase. They are very clear, I love the sheerness of them, for whatever use. I will be buying the same brand, but in a 4 x 6 size for my recipe cards to go in my Longaberger basket when I get it set up. They will be excellent for the purpose the were actually made for. Keeping the cards clean and easy to wipe off anything you may get on them while cooking. Anyway, my purchase of the 3 x 5 protection sleeves this time is as a trial to help keep my Maniology nail stamping plates fingerprint and scratch free as I’m looking through them. I have purchased a box to “file” them in. And I’m going to make dividers to separate them into collections. The length is perfect and the width is about a half inch larger, but that helps me to insert and remove them without any issues. And I think I might label each protector in some way, also. Still a work in progress. I will upload pics and/or video when I’m working on and completed my project.

I bought 3 different 4x6 card protectors/covers. This one fit the least best out of the three imo. I would have to trim the side for these to even fit into my box and then they’re too tall for my liking as well. These covers seems to be more flimsy than the those two brand I bought because they’re thinner. Thinner does mean you can fit more cards into a single box, but the cover will crinkle more easily. Akshaya card covers fit my 4x6 cards perfectly. So, if you want tighter fitting cover with a little more durability, get akshaya ones. However, since the akshaya ones have more durability because they are just a little bit thicker. So, you’ll fit less cards into a single box than these ones.
