I received the product just as it came in the photo. I use little makeup, and this set is perfect for what I need. The brushes are super soft but at the same time, firm and sturdy. The price is great for everthing it comes with.

This set was just what I needed. I loved how they are such good quality brushes without having to break the bank. I adore my sponge. I typically only use beauty blenders however for the price I will never order another Beauty blender again. This performs just as nice as the 20 dollar beauty blender. I love these RT brushes. I have lots of high end brushes, Hourglass, Trish McEvoy, BK Beauty—I use the RT the most. The bronzer brush is my favorite for cream bronzer and good for cream blush. The big puff ball powder brush is great too. I’ve used the shadow brush a lot with cream stay-on shadows from MAC, Merit, RMS, works great blending those. The small setting brush is good for setting powder under eye and eyeshadow on lids. Blush brush applies powder blush blended and light (no clowny rouge cheeks). The price is so right that I don’t worry about messing them up and get full use. This pic is after brush washing, they hold up well there too. Great set! ... show more

I love this set! I'm a beginner at makeup, so it took me a while to learn how to use each brush. Originally, I was supposed to swing for the RT Artist Essentials set (the one with the fan brush), but I'm really glad I got this instead. I don't follow the brush guide, so here's how I use the set for reference: I use sheer-coverage foundations and skin tints. I use my hands to blend them in, then buff it out with the Complexion Sponge (the wider side). When I apply concealer afterward, I tap it in with my fingers, then use the pointy side of the sponge to blend it out for a more natural finish. I prefer cream blushes over powder ones, so instead of using the Blush Brush, I'd dab cream blush on my cheeks with my fingers, then stipple it out with the Foundation Brush. It diffuses the blush and makes me look like I have a soft, natural glow. I don't use the Blush Brush for this purpose because it's more for powders than creams. I use the Blush Brush for powder bronzer, and the Deluxe Crease Brush to contour my nose. I haven't found a use for the actual setting brush yet, so I think I'll give it away. I don't use powder highlight; but if you do, I think this may work for that purpose? Again, I'm just a beginner, so I'm not really sure. Overall, it's definitely worth the purchase. The handles are heavier and more durable than I expected them to be, and the bristles are super soft and easy to clean. I've washed the set three times without any issues. The sponge came with a nick on it, but it doesn't affect the use so I don't really mind. I feel like I got my money's worth. Note: beauty sponge unpictured. ... show more
