You heard me, this is my first type owning a real techniques makeup brush! Where have I been all this time? I've been into makeup for 5 years now and never owned a real techniques set when they are amazing and super affordable. Granted, it's because when I started off doing makeup, I was really young and my older sisters would lend me their old brushes from Sephora. It could be because they were old, or that Sephora brushes are just overrated, but Real Techniques definitely beats them all! I bought this set myself, along with some more RT complexion brushes at Tj Maxx, after my old brushes weren't dried properly and had a moldy smell to them. I sadly had to throw them away because my frugal self didn't want to spend money on makeup brushes, even tho they're a necessity. I knew from the start that I wanted Real Techniques because of the amazing things I've heard about them. And I'm so glad I bought this set! It worth every dollar, amplifies my makeup, and blends everything seamlessly. From now on, I'm only going to be buying RT. I've been using it for three months already and no bristles have fallen out and there have been no flaws. I use these brushes daily. I have others. Some even cost more (don't tell my husband, please). These function the best. I use the eye and foundation brush most often. It took me a while to get the hang of the eye brush. I am a little clumsy with makeup. I have hooded? eyes. Now that I have caught on it helps so much to get the makeup where it is supposed to be. The blush brush helps to prevent the pink line that I sometimes see on my cheeks or sometimes notice on women on TV. It looks a bit more natural and gentle when using the brush in this kit. I haven't quite mastered all of the brushes. I use the intermediate brush to go over my eye makeup to blend everything and make sure it isn't on too heavy. Worth the money. I hesitated on whether to purchase the foundation brush alone or the kit. Now that I figured out the eye brush the kit was worth the purchase. ... show more
