First off these are high quality brushes that would have a rightful place in my home collection; this made them invaluable for travel. Second, they were made smaller by reducing the handle size, not the brush size as is found in some travel makeup brushes. The brush part is full sized, soft, and effectively blended out my makeup. Very convenient for travel! These brushes are TINY, and they work well for me. I wear a full face every day, but also like to travel with just a carry-on on a three-week trip, so this helps my makeup bag stay super small. I got myself one and 3 for my girlfriends as gifts. They are super soft, the travel size makes them easy to bring anywhere and storing simply takes less space, as well as smaller handle doesn’t take away the functionality of application. I purchased this set when it was about 50% off the original prize. I definitely wouldn't purchase them again for any more than that. These brushes are just okay. Poor density of the larger brush bristles. The eyeshadow brushes are average. The best feature in my opinion is the elongated handle on the brushes - it makes them easier to use.
