I wish this had covers on the outside pockets. I generally carry a laptop and a couple of 5x8 notebooks, everything fits well but I'm always worried something is going to go missing from the outside pockets.

I love that it has many compartments, several zippers including one that closes the bag under the main flap keeping your things safe and in the bag. I have been waiting for a bag like this and im happy i found it, i super love it. The only things i didnt love was that it felt stiff but this is common i believe and has soften a bit since. Love the vintage/classic look of it and get a lot of compliments. I highly recommend this. ... show more

This brown leather messenger bag, made in India, is very soft and quite a nice look to it. Expect the leather to have creases and dents as it is a natural product. In my opinion leather can age nicely and gain even more character through such creases. The stitches are very well sewn (imo). The main flap itself has an easy accessible zippered compartment on the outside e.g. for keys, small papers. On the front of the bag, not covered by the flap, there is a magnetic-button secured compartment which could fit something like a smartphone, passport or the like. After opening the magnetic-button (2) secured flap of the main compartment, one will easily identify the two main compartments: The flap covers the laptop compartment (1) and a smaller similarly shaped compartment in the front (2). 1. The compartment where the laptop and other things can go has a zipper closure at the top. This compartment is split in two, one for the laptop and you will find holders for pens, credit card-sized cards and one bigger item which I can't picture myself right now what I would use it for and of course larger space for books and other items one may need. There is foam reinforcement to protect a laptop from frontal impact - not from the back, though. That should be OK as that part usually should face to your body and describing further below there is another back compartment that could offer some additional protection if used. 2. The compartment on the front inside is a bit smaller than the back, likely space from more books and papers. On the outside back of the bag, so right behind the potentially kept laptop, there is another magnetic-button secured compartment similarly sized and shaped as the smaller one mentioned on the inside front. Perhaps a good place to keep a newspaper or other travel literature for easy access and additional buffer for the laptop. Overall there are plenty of compartments and space to put the things one may need for office or a day trip to a client. Time will tell, but it definitely looks high-quality. ... show more

This bag is very well made. The leather is soft and supple and all of the hardware appears to be stained brass. The handle is connected solidly and held on by two rivets on each side. It's called a messenger bag, but it truly is a multi use bag that would look stylish for males or females. I have no troubles fitting my laptop the charger and a bunch of papers and binders in it. It has so much space in it and the material is so flexible you "can" overload the bag weight wise and make it uncomfortable to carry. The manufacturer packed this for shipping insanely well. It took me 10 minutes + of hard work with a pocket knife cutting foam taped down to all of the hardware. The leather is like a bomber jacket's leather minus the imperfections that come to nice leather over time. This is so soft and flexible for leather, I am really pleased - and it is stylish too. Have no illusions, this is a pretty big bag that can hold a lot of material, to the point you might not want to carry it so full. For what it was designed for it is comfortable and handy. The only complaint I could have is the strap enclosed (you don't have to use it at all if you don't want to; it clips on to metal hardware on the corners of the bag) is on the long side. When I load this up, I would like it up higher on my body than the strap easily adjusts - but I can do without the strap entirely for my purposes. This is a fine bag - much better than most of the Chinese bags you find out there. I'd say this is five stars so far (we'll see how it holds up...) - the strap is not a big enough deal to not recommend this bag whole heartedly. ... show more

This bag was supposed to be a gift. The bag has huge dents in the leather. They are not going to come out. The bag is also very thin. You’re supposed to be able to put a laptop in there but there’s no way this bag would protect it. There is no extra padding. The internal plastic packaging has huge rips all over including the cardboard that was covering it front and back and it was shipped in an Amazon thin plastic bag. ... show more
