For the price ($10 for a 3-pack at time of purchase 1/2026), these seem pretty good. Compared these to similar, slightly more expensive readers and the magnification (1.75 in my case) seems about the same. Got these to have some cheap reader to have on hand at work, etc., and looks like they'll do the job. These feel light in terms of weight and build--don't expect they will be indestructible, but at the price this is reasonable. Note that the earpiece is mainly soft rubber--from the hinge, there's about 1 inch of rigid plastic, then it's all soft rubber from there; the earpiece seems a little longer than normal (about 1-2cm than other readers i use). So far, these seem to star n place pretty well, though I'm not doing any acrobatics while using them. The hinge is -not- a spring hinge, in case that's a concern (OTOH, one less thing to fail). ... show more

I bought these to replace a group of three with smaller lenses and spring hinges. The connection to the spring kept breaking making them useless. They are way simpler(less likely to fail), lighter(less pressure on the nose and ears) and have clear visuals. For $9.99 or whatever, how can you lose? I have reading glasses all around the house because I wore glasses for distance full time since age 8. When I reached about 65, my eyes changed and I could see at distance but still needed readers. So I enjoy not wearing glasses except to read and I need many pair because I don't want to carry them unless I'm driving or out and about. ... show more

As typical of most people who use reading glasses, we have several pair located throughout the house and they are not treated with the best of care. The dollar store glasses tend to fail at the joints with minimal use. After using these glasses for months now i find that for the price they are very durable. The joints have not yet failed on any of the multiple pairs scattered about. The fit is good with no side pressure or behind the ears. The clarity is fine for this price point. The only slight issue is if you are in a prone position they may tend to fall off. Although i noticed this on occasion it is not a fault of the glasses it is just a noted limitation. If you plan to use these for maintenance activities i would suggest a shop / safety type readers. ... show more
