First I had several surgeries on my hand. Consequently I cannot lay my hand flat on the floor. Handles are, for me the only way to do pushups. Though light and plastic they are very stable. The angle off the grips accommodate my needs. (I do wear a brace with it.) Also you can travel with them so you have no excuse not do your pushups while away! ... show more

I have Kienbock's disease which resulted in the carpal row of bones in my wrist removed. Wrist mechanics changed drastically and I can no longer bend wrist over 40*- even with force. It has been a very long time since I could do pushups which I consider the Holy Grail of exercises. Push up bars were in an article on exercise equipment so I searched, read reviews and bought these. It was the best $10 I ever spent! I am able to do pushups again- there is some wrist pain but that’s just my wrist.
