In about a month, we will be having a 9-year-old girl visiting us for a few days. We know she likes craft activities, so we are trying to find things that will appeal to her creative side. While she has not tested this kit yet, it was tested by a person with lots of knitting experience. She was very impressed by the excellent step-by-step instructions provided in this kit and felt like they should be fairly easy for the child to follow. She was also confident that the kit could be used by the child with minimal supervision to successfully make a bracelet. The loom itself is quite nice. There is a small drawer on the left side to hold the threads used to make the bracelets. That really impressed the knitter who tested this as being a very thoughtful addition to the loom to prevent thread from being lost or soiled. . At the top of the loom, as you can see in the picture, there is a piece that flips out to allow the person making the bracelet to access the point that holds the thread while the bracelet is being woven. The kit also includes some buttons as well as some letters that can be attached to the bracelet to make it a little fancier. All in all, we expect this kit to be very well received by our visitor.

This friendship bracelet kit worked really well to make bracelets. I like that it has a hook so that it can keep the bracelets from moving when I make them. It also has a compartment on the side that holds the string. The string is precut to the correct length so you don't have to measure it before you make a bracelet. The two things I was disappointed about is that there were not very many options when it came to colors, and there were only 2 pieces for each color, so you can't make more than two bracelets with the same color in each one.

I grew up in the 80s, so friendship bracelets were EVERYWHERE, all the time, and as I understand it, they come back into fashion every 10 years or so. No surprise there. What did surprise me is that I forgot how to do all but the most basic weaves, and trying to figure out how to do it without some sort of jig from online videos was NOT working. This little kit takes a lot of the pain and suffering of trying to (re)learn all the different patterns so much more easy! The jig helps you hold your various strands in place, and a bit like a kumihino tool, this jig allows you to simplify hard patterns into easier steps, and is surprisingly well built and manufactured for a plastic 'kid's toy'. The jig also has a handy drawer on the side that holds several bundles of embroidery floss, and the kit itself comes with a bunch of beads and a few buttons to help you zhuzh up your creations. The only drawback I found was that the instructions had some somewhat dodgy English, but that's likely because it was translated from another language - the photos were pretty clear and I found them to be informative.

This is a fun little kit that results in the neatest looking bracelets. It comes with some basics to get you started: a bag of alphabet letter beads, larger button type beads, and a great assortment of brightly colored, pre-cut threads! The greatest thing about this kit is the "wire machine" which really takes the aggravation out of this process--no need to find something or someone to tie the thread to, etc. With this you simply pick your colors, tie your beginning knots and then hook them to the machine where they are held tight and secure until you're finished. Ingenious is what I say! The next greatest thing is that it comes with a descriptive instruction phamplet that tells you exactly how to do everything! So even if crafting isn't your thing you should be good to go with this project. I like the simplicity of this, the comradery and creativity it can foster, and I love that our kids will learn and experience love, friendship, sharing.

This is a good starter kit for anyone above the age of about 9, who wants to go into bracelet making. I find the kit a little on the expensive side, but it does include all the basics to get started. The plastic of the loom is good quality and heavy duty, and I especially like the fact that the loom is constructed with a drawer with separators to keep the thread clean, organized, and with the loom. The drawer slides open and closed easily and holds all of the included thread. The instruction page's English is a little irregular, but it does convey the process. There are a sizable number of letter beads included and a few buttons. Those can easily be augmented from outside sources, as can the embroidery floss.

Everything to make multiple bracelets is included. The supplies that are included give a good start and the holder is a lasting tool. It is sturdy but lightweight to use.

Was excited about this bracelet making kit for our 10 year old granddaughter. Unfortunately, it’s not the easiest craft. We had a lot of trouble (9 year old & 63 year old) understanding the directions. Hopefully her Mom can save the day and get our girl in the bracelet making mode. Kit is well equipped and the loom seems sturdy and well designed. If you’re “crafty” you probably won’t encounter the challenges we did. I do think the kit is over priced, however…but this Gran is a bit cheap! LOL
