    • Plow works, needs better mounts for the redcat gen8+
The plow does work. You do need a strong servo to lift the blade. Change the weak chain/loop system to something a lil beefier. The bumper mount is plastic on the Gen8 so the blade likes to tuck under the truck because of the high point of the mount. I countered this by using a turnbuckle on each side that attaches to the pivot point and then attaches to one of the inner fender bolts. This triangulates the assembly and makes it rock solid. What should be sold with this is a new metal mount for the plow to attach to the chassis and the something that allows for triangulation. I use the HW Fusion system and by god is it smooth as silk. Makes plowing easy without having to use more throttle to push heavier loads, the esc/motor does all that to keep the same speed no matter where you are in the rpm range. The plow gets loctite and better hardware for the final assembly. Overall I give it a 3 star because of all the extra work to get it to function with the Gen8. ... show more

The Pros: The parts are well made and nicely finished. Everything is rust/corrosion resistant Parts fit together nicely It operates as designed The Cons: The parts list is illegible The instructuons are non existant so you'll need to refer back to the lising for clear photos and decipher from there. Some screws are too long. I double and truple checked and disassembled to be sure. The screws that hold the blade on to the frame are not the same thread as the tapped holes. The blase is 2" too narrow and about 1" to short in height for 1:10 scale. If youre picky like me you'll have to make a larger one. The frame is just about right. You will have to supply your own lift servo which I knew so not teally a con. For the money its fine. Overall I'm happy with it and would recommend this to anyone looking for a plow. ... show more

Bought for my 10 year olds rc car. Would not go together well. Screws all need to be tightened constantly. Put a actuator on for lift and it bent right away. 10 year old is extremely dissatisfied.

Decent plow, for the price I would pick one that swivels side to side, screws that came with it sucked so I put my own in. I got a cheap servo for it so I can only run 1 spring and not 2, went together nicely, works as a straight plow should, but could be better(don’t expect to actually clean with this) can’t post the video but I cleared the entire sidewalk with it with 1.5 inches of kinda heavy snow ... show more

This won't be a bolt-on modification, but once you do the modifying it is a very solid plow. I've run it 4 times now, and the mounts and pivot points have held up well. This isn't a bolt-on mod, I did need to do some filing and shimming; I wouldn't recommend this for the novice hobbyist. But if you have any mechanical ability this is a solid base to make a very entertaining plow truck. I'm definitely happy with it, and it has probably ran along 500' of sidewalk with no issues. It'll push snow above the hood of the pictured TRX-4, you can actually move 2-3" of snow with this. Just be ready for a bit of a project to fit it. But once you do, it's loads of fun. It reacts like a real plow truck, I've actually done some real snow plowing with this. I'd highly suggest a set of chains on your tires though. ... show more
