    • My First and LAST RCBS Die Set
I have always used Lee dies in the past but thought I might try RCBS for my 6.5 CM since I have heard they have a higher quality. The dies appear well made, and FL resizing was accurate. The expander ball was rough, so I buffed/smoothed it out somewhat. My issue is with seating Hornady ELD-Match bullets. The seating stem leaves a distinct ring around the tip of the bullet. I buffed the interior of the stem with mild abrasive compound but it still makes a mark. I do not think it hurts my accuracy, but it sure makes my reloads look like crap. I have never experienced this problem with Lee or Hornady dies. I contacted RCBS and they want to sell me a special stem for $25.45. That is 65% of the cost for the entire die set. I am going back to inexpensive but tried and true Lee dies. ... show more

    • This was a "Open box" item sold as "new"
The box was already opened when it arrived, the dies were new and seemed unused except for the bullet seater plug. The plug looks like someone had taken a used and abused plug from an old worn-out die and put it in a new seater die than returned it. The seller than re-sold it as a brand new die set. I wouldn't mind buying an "open box" item, in fact I have saved money on several occasions by doing just that and received brand new un-used products, but this die set was advertised as "NEW". To me "NEW" means "NEW", it doesn't mean that it's a open box returned item. I was in a hurry to get some bullets loaded for this caliber (6.5 Creedmoor) and the only issue the "used plug" was causing is a ring around the very tip of the finished bullet, so I decided to not send the die set back, but be warned, THIS SELLER IS SHADY, he has no qualms about misrepresenting the items he is selling. ... show more

    • Dies Great, shipping not so much.
Very good product as usual from rcds. However I my guy box in a bubble bag from Amazon all the way from Spokane Washington to Tampa Florida area. This type of packaging let the Box beat around so badly that the full-length sizing die bounced around inside against the crimp die bending the decapping rod assembly. Amazon needs to realize that these type of items need to be put in cardboard boxes and shipped correctly. ... show more

    • Money well spent!
The first set of dies I ever purchased, and I chose wisely! These dies are outstanding! The sizing die is easy to set up once you find the correct neck bushing for you specific needs. The seating die is the star of the set! The markings on the micrometer adjustment are well marked and easily read. As for bullet runout I NEVER achieve more than 0.0005”!!! That’s on all three different 6.5mm Creedmoor loads I’ve made thus far on my RCBS summit press. For this quality, and this consistency I feel that this is the best bang for the buck die set out there. Definitely buy with confidence. You can’t go wrong! ... show more

    • Used like new, NOT
This combination die set was returned with a note inside that outlined the product’s defects by the previous buyer, it was subsequently resealed, and put back on the Amazon site. Obviously no one inspected the package, nice surprise for me when I found the note. I’ve ordered the product new from another source. Amazon probably doesn’t bother to even look at the contents, impossible to have missed the note the clearly articulated the nature of the defect had the box been opened. Lesson leaned, used like new means “ crap shoot, may work may not” ... show more

    • RCBS is the best for the buck!
I love the dies, but the only one thing I would say is the pin is not always straight in the dies. This one plus a couple of others out of the 8 I have bought had bent pins. I will buy again but just a heads up and to be on the lookout.

I have tried other reloading dies but RCBS always work. Instead of scrimping on the price, I purchased the RCBS 6.5 creedmoor dies from Amazon. Shipping was fast, and they work so much better than the competition. Love RCBS.
