  • Great for a slightly smaller washer
Size: White Pattern Name: Washing Machine
I bought this because I live in an apartment where I needed a compact unit to fit into a large closet. I purchased a couple of quick connect fittings that I attached to my kitchen sink underneath. I am a contractor so this helped. I also bought the dolly that is recommended for it. I keep it always on the Dolly and I can roll it over to the sink, Make the connections, put the drain over the sink, Lock it in place and use it successfully. This unit is slightly smaller and it's large load is approximately a three quarter load on a normal machine. Sometimes you may need to put it on a extra spin cycle, only to help squeeze out more water and dry them more. Unless, you have a normal dryer. I also purchased a compact 120 volt dryer from home depot. That has been fantastic, only on a larger load, sometimes I have to break it into two drying cycles. The dryer I have at 120 volts is a two hour cycle. I really do not have any complaints on this unit. It is great for the money, perfect for the size. I have four children. I have washed outfits daily and towels. It will comfortably do three pairs of jeans and shirts and one towel. This is and has been the winter season. So my shirts are thicker, long sleeve and heavier. It will do a queen set of sheets, no problem. I actually do a queen set and twins at the same time. It does a queen size comforter of mild thickness at its full capacity. Unfortunately, I have to use a laundry Mat if I do the comforters to dry. But this unit is perfect for single living, or Rv's or apartment living. ... show more

  • Heavier than it looks/noisy
Size: White Pattern Name: Washer
I do give it a 4⭐️out of 5 because it works amazing after you figure out the buttons and settings and how to connect to a faucet that was being extra stubborn! Pros: love that I can do normal size loads- like 6 pairs of jeans or 8 towels instead of the smaller one that I had before only could do half those amounts! Love that it runs just like a regular Washer!!! You don’t have to turn the water off when washing it so it does it’s thing. However make sure to turn machine on with lid closed before turning water on! Or a water bomb will go off lol Pretty quiet for most part except for the spin cycle- it’s load and shakes the floor. Not sure hot to adjust that. I do recommend buying the roll stand for under it to help level out and lift up a bit. Cons: They say it’s 100 lbs more like 120/130 lbs. defiantly need 2 people to lift it and for me I live alone and don’t have anyone so I struggled and got it figured out! A neighbor helped me carry it up to 2nd floor. I lift 80-100 lbs daily so shouldn’t of been any different but the handles are placed weird/ one in back and one up front. Makes it’s awkward to lift or carry. I’ve had it running every day for about a week and it’s still great! Besides the spin cycle noise but louder than I like. ... show more

  • Toploader with an Impeller at a bargain price
Size: White Pattern Name: Washing Machine
The first thing one needs to grasp is that at 3.0 cu ft this is a pretty large and heavy machine -- definitely a two-person lift. If you want to retain the portability feature I suggest you buy a "mobile roller" and install it on that like I did. I bought this RCA washer as a backup to my Frigidaire 3.5 cu ft Frontloader (which is currently out of service -- at least until I install the replacement part I just got from Amazon. Wish me luck!). It's nearly as big as the Frigidaire, too. Although the RCA washer is sold as a "portable" unit, it would probably be just as happy being placed in your Utility Room as your primary machine instead of hooked up to the bathroom faucet like I've done. I'm just relieved that by having this machine I don't have to drive all over creation to the nearest Laundromat and burn up hours of time there. I've noticed some reviewers have stated their machine arrived damaged, sometimes heavily. I must say UPS did an exceptional job delivering mine as I only noticed a very, very slight ding on the right side of the machine. If you weren't looking for it you probably wouldn't even notice it. It's totally cosmetic and in no way does it inhibit proper operation of the machine. As a Toploader, the RCA washer naturally uses a lot more water than a comparable Frontloader, which is to be expected, as clothes in a Toploader are fully immersed in water as opposed to partially submerged like a Frontloader. The last Toploader I had decades ago had the Agitator in the center of the tub, which for some reason I found, well, agitating. It was a totally mechanical unit (i.e. no digital displays or lights at all), tended to "walk" all over the floor when unbalanced, and was very annoying. In contrast, this RCA washer uses an Impeller and thus has no Agitator. I was skeptical about how well an Impeller unit would work, but I must confess it works exceptionally well. It seems that Toploaders with Impellers are in the minority, as nearly all units I've found have the Agitator. I scooped up this RCA Toploader for about $455 (including delivery), and at that price I would say this machine is an absolute bargain. I got it four days after placing the order with Amazon. Compare that to the local Big Box stores which quoted weeks for delivery for pretty much any washer. My only complaint so far is the necessity of running an additional Spin cycle for large loads like towels since the machine will not run at full Spin speed due to balancing issues. I consider this a minor annoyance instead of a major flaw. Just remove the towels from the tub, lay them on top of each other in a stacked configuration, run a Spin cycle only, and you will be good to go. With the balanced load the machine will then run at full Spin speed to squeeze out the remaining water. Overall, I would rate this machine at 4.5+ Stars. My only question is long term reliability and durability, so I bought the 5 Year Extended Warranty as an insurance policy just in case. Hopefully the machine will provide many years of reliable service and the Extended Warranty won't be required. ... show more
