  • What a fun plane!
Color: Black-blue
I got this for my son to learn RC flying without destroying a more expensive one, and wow is this fun to fly. It's VERY light so you don't want to have it outside in any kind of wind, but if you pitch the elevators up this is a really nice indoor flyer. It's not going to break anything and great for learning techniques and flight principles. I do wish the batteries could come out, but at this price I would just buy a spare to fly while the other one is charging. Only lasts about 5 minutes but it charges in like 30 which isn't bad at all. As long as we don't fly it in the wind and get it stuck in a tree, this should last a long time since it won't get beat up with crashes. ... show more

  • Bit of learning curve, but fun to fly and performs better than expected.
Color: Black-blue
So there is difference between marketing and how this performs. Overall I think it flies well, but there is a learning curve to get it going and instructions don't help much. I am not sure how you are to fly this indoors, as to stay in the air it moves fairly fast and you need quite a bit of space to get the hangof it. Would recommend starting out in a large park or yard, away from trees and without any wind. As its easily to put it into the trees or accidenlty on a roof. We were able to get it charged up and flying, took a bit of tweaking on controller and rear fin to get it flying straight and true. It turns well and is remarkably stable for its size and weight. Biggest tip I can give, is when things aren't going right your gut instinct it to kill the throttle, and once you do it tumbles from the sky. Usually if in trouble if you put in more power, and stopped turning the plane almost went nose up in a hover. Battery life and flight time is going to depend on your settings and how fast you fly it around, and we haven't flown it enough to get a real idea of how long it will fly as still learning. But overall its amazing what they can put into such a light / inexpensive plane. ... show more

  • great for beginners
Color: Black-blue
First of all, there is a discrepancy between the age on the box and the age on this product page. The box says this is for ages "14 and up" and the product page says ages "6 and up". I agree with most reviewers that young children would need adult help to use this, and six-year-olds probably would not fly it wisely and avoid crashes. Because this is lightweight enough to fly, it is also delicate, so you must be careful to fly it outdoors and away from walls. It's also best to wait for a clear, still day, so you don't have to deal with wind, at least as you get used to it. Fortunately, the remote control only has four directions: up, down, left and right, but it still does have a learning curve regarding launching it and maintaining a safe distance so you can still control it. Try to prop it so the nose is facing upward in the beginning. It's best to start with mastering just getting it to take off and land before trying anything fancy. Fortunately, it also has an automatic stabilization system and is wisely reinforced around the nose to protect it from those unexpected impacts. It is an ideal beginner's remote control airplane. ... show more

  • Big Fun in a Small Airplane
Color: Black-blue
This little remote control airplane turned out to be way more fun than I expected. It’s clearly designed with beginners in mind, and it shows in the best way. The built-in stabilization (that 6-axis gyroscope) does a lot of the heavy lifting, so even if you’ve never flown anything before, you’re not constantly fighting to keep it in the air. It’s more “enjoy the ride” than “emergency crash prevention.” The size is actually a huge advantage. It’s small enough to fly in tighter spaces, which is why we ended up using it indoors most of the time—an empty school gym was perfect while waiting for the big kids to finish practice. Outside works too, but you’ll want calm weather since it’s lightweight. Durability is solid for something this light. It can handle the occasional bump or less-than-perfect landing without turning into a pile of foam. The included extra batteries are a nice touch—you get a surprisingly long total flight time without constantly recharging. Quick tip: start indoors to get the hang of the controls, then move outside once you’re comfortable. It makes the learning curve a lot smoother. ... show more

  • Super cheaply made Flat foam no control possible
Color: Black-blue
This thing was almost impossible to fly there's like no control whatsoever as extremely disappointed in this it's a waste of money for sure and there's no left right up down you just have to adjust the tail then hope for the best as you're flying through the air with no control over anything other than the speed that you crash into something yet it's a horrible way to learn because it's very discouraging and frustrating in my opinion ... show more
