We got it all ready to go towards the end of the party and he was so excited when it took off in the front yard. It is made of light weight but durable foam so that it is not a heavy airplane. This is a great gift airplane. Easy to use, just charge and add batteries. Good to go. The remote is easy enough for a child. It flies pretty high. You need an open space. Not appropriate inside. Really nice

My son is 12 and usually pretty rough on his toys, especially remote control flying things. They usually don’t last long, but he played with this one for a couple of weeks before it finally crashed enough to be damaged beyond repair.

My 9yr old bought this plane and has been using it almost daily for a week. It's gotten stuck in trees, been thrown at brothers, been tripped on, crashed on gravel and one set of wheels lost (they are not attached very sturdy). It's been a good toy for us.
