First, all post holes are challenging to dig - even with a gas-powered auger. I have two conventional PHDs and have borrowed many, looking for something that is better/cleanly removes dirt, etc. None of them are lightweight. This one is on the heavy side, but it is very well designed. I am 5'5" and if I were 5" taller I would be thrilled. I thought the total length/height would be shorter which would give me more leverage and better apply upper body strength. However, it is the best PHD I have used - it enables clean cuts into the ground and does a better job that any I have used at lifting up and removing the soil. This one is on the pricier side of the scale, BUT it's attributes pay for themselves in one or two uses as I would likely have had to hire someone to help with outdoor post light installation. Finally, it's very firmly constructed and there is no wobbliness, which I like. I will buy a shorter version when they make it and if my "friends" haven't permanently borrowed this one .... Thumbs up from me.

Este artículo lo tuve que devolver por qué es muy pesado para mí porque realmente es para una persona más alta que yo o quizás más saludable. Yo mido 5.2 pero tengo que ser justo con el diseño y la calidad tiene una robustez insuperable por lo que convierte a esta excavadora es una herramienta con una larga durabilidad el agarre ergonómico la convierte en un diseño confortable. Lo repito es pesado para mí tamaño que es pequeño pero para un hombre de mayor estatura y acostumbrado a esfuerzos físicos esto es un pedazo de kake

I build fences for a living. 23 years in business. Used dozens of pos hole diggers over the years. This one is hands down the best.

Because of the pivot point on this post hole digger you can get much deeper in a small diameter hole (6") than with a traditional digger. Some have complained about the weight but I did not find that to be the case, it's actually a benefit when dropping into the hole. Also the ears at the top of the handles make it much easier for pulling a load of dirt out of the hole. It is a tool worth having for this type of work.
