  • Exceptional quality
Exceptional quality for recording. Exceptional quality for streaming. The included app allows you to store multiple profiles so you can tailor to various lighting scenarios. I love that I can control FOV, ISO, and Shutter Speed. It also does a fantastic job with auto focus, but I can also manually set a focal distance. The depth of field via bokeh is pretty good, but its not super strong. As of right now I dont believe I can modify that, so depending on the depth of your space, it may be more or less blurry. I like the professional visual you get pretty much right out of the box, but you def need to spend time with lighting your space to maximize what you get. It's also bigger than you expect, its straight up the size of a DLSR lens. It has a really awesome privacy closure system where you just twist lightly on the lens and its closes an iris. Theres also a protective cover for the lens to help protect it from dust or protect the lens when storing/traveling. ... show more

  • Exceptional Performance Web Cam (Both MAC & Windows)
The Razer Kiyo Pro Ultra has to be one of the best webcams on the market today. Even surpassing my current Elgato Pro 4K Webcam which records up to 4K60. The Razer surprisingly surpassed my expectations in video quality and outperformed the Elgato 4K hands down in low-light recording situations. Privacy features were clearly integrated very well as well as their onboard Microphone which most webcams like the Elgato 4K doesnt even have. The size of the camera is perfect and ideal for all recording situations. As both a MAC User and Windows user, I will say the software is lacking but should not be your reason to pass this exceptional choice up. I was easily able to find free software to use with the web cam from XSplit that even works for MAC. I would like to note that my review of this webcam is coming from someone who doesn't play video games online and that its marketing of being an outstanding choice for low-light recording was the primary reason I purchased it. In closing this camera did not disappoint and I strongly recommend you give this webcam a chance regardless if your a gamer or content creator. ... show more

  • Excellent Camera So So Mic
The image quality of this camera is a significant upgrade from the Microsoft lifecam I had been using previously. You could certainly get a bit better quality from a DSLR/lens combo. But you'd need to spend at least twice as much to do it. The bokeh effect is subtle, but its there and its noticeable. The one disappointment I had with it was the built in mic. I normally use a dedicated mic (SM7) so I only experimented with the built in mic a little bit. But I found the sound to be lacking in quality and I thought the sound from the Microsoft lifecam was much better. It would be good enough for most zoom calls. But also use the camera to create training content for my job so I need broadcast quality audio and the built in mic does not get anywhere close to that IMO. ... show more

  • Good but no Mac OS Camera Settings support
I was searching for the best WebCam option short of going all in with a DLSR Camera. I wanted this to have a very good solution for Virtual Meetings, etc. If I was a Streamer or YouTube Content Creator, I would have gone for a much more expensive DLSR Camera with separate Microphone. (And I may yet go with a separate Microphone.) The options I was looking at were the Razer Kiyo Pro Ultra (man they need to shorten that name), the Elgato Facecam Pro, and possibly the OBSBOT Tiny 2. These are all 4K, but more importantly, because most Virtual Meetings get compressed, I was looking for a WebCam with really good Camera Fundamentals. After perusing a lots of reviews, I chose the Razer Kiyo Pro Ultra because of the quality of the Sensor (Sony Starvis™ 2), Lens, etc. Out of the box the Razer Kiyo Pro Ultra is great. Much better than my previous Logitech C930e (yeah, I know: that's a Low Bar). But, and this is a Very Big But, Razer doesn't have any Mac OS Camera Settings support. Their current Synapse3 software hasn't been ported to Mac OS and their previous Synapse2 software doesn't recognize the Ultra. This means that I'm stuck with the out of the box defaults. They "work", but I can't modify Auto-Focus, or White Point, etc., and I can't update the Firmware. I don't understand this failure to support Mac OS. It's been widely reported and Razer has publicly dismissed these customer complaints. I think that Razer is focusing on the Gamer Market, but I'm not sure why Gamers would need such a good WebCam for Twitch Streaming. Mac OS is the platform of choice for Content Creators, so the failure to support Mac OS is just befuddling. It's like they want this product to fail in the market because of lack of support. I'll keep the Razer Kiyo Pro Ultra, but I'm disappointed and I can't imagine buying any other Razer products. ... show more
