So despite all the hype about this fragrance (and there is A LOT of hype) I waited to get my own bottle but with summer coming and the weather starting to warm up I wanted to something specifically for that type of weather. I get it now. To my nose the hype is worth it. I never smelled the blue cap version of VIW but this compared the new VIW formula this has a little more citrus punch to it on the opening. You get a lime forward sugary coconut opening that is REALLY nice. I was afraid the lime or coconut being to sugary sweet would be a little too much but I actually really like it. The opening is light and fresh without being screechy or overly sweet. The dry down is fantastic as the coconut becomes more creamy, borderline sunscreen vibes, but not quite there compared to something like MM Beach Walk. When the fragrance settles in it's a beautifully fresh citrus creamy coconut fragrance that keeps you coming back for more. The limes initial sharpness settles down and the coconut becomes a more noticeable. This is literally the perfect warm/hot weather fragrance. It's vacation in a bottle. I can see how people just run through this bottle. Any fragrance can be over sprayed but I can see how you can be aggressive spraying this without being offensive. The performance is OK not great but I literally just got it so with any other middle eastern fragrance I imagine after a few weeks/months of maturation this will really settle and perform better. I can't speak for everyone but to my nose the hype is real. I enjoyed this a lot more than I thought I would...This is going to be a warm/hot weather staple.

It feels light and refreshing, but still has enough presence to get noticed. For the price, I’m really impressed with the quality and performance. It’s very easy to wear and works great for the gym, casual days, work, or just as an everyday fragrance. If you like fresh and aquatic fragrances, this is definitely worth trying. Great value for the money and I would absolutely buy it again.

Aquatica smells about 95% the same as Virgin Island Water to me. Off the rip, Aquatica gives you more lime and stays bright and limey pretty much the whole time you’re wearing it. You still get the coconut, musk, and aquatic/ambergris notes, but they’re less prominent. The longevity on this one also seems better than VIW. I’ve been wearing it almost every day since I bought it and I’m already halfway through the bottle. I plan on buying a backup bottle this month since I live near the coast and this fragrance is perfect for the hot environment. Virgin Island Water smells a little smoother and more blended overall. The dry down is creamier and muskier with stronger coconut and aquatic ambergris notes, while the lime fades back more compared to Aquatica. VIW smells a little more refined, but honestly they’re extremely close. I’d say this leans more masculine because it’s not one of those super fruity or floral tropical scents you run into a lot. The longevity is good for a fresh fragrance, and since it’s cheap, reapplying isn’t a big deal. I’m not really a fan of the bottle design, but most Middle Eastern fragrances have kinda ugly bottles anyway besides brands like Amouage. The bottle itself is sturdy though because it’s enclosed in a metal cage, so I wouldn’t worry about damage during shipping. Mine didn’t leak and the atomizer is actually pretty decent. If you want a cheaper version of Virgin Island Water that’s a little more lime heavy, I definitely recommend this.

The combination of bergamot and lime in the top make this fragrance lime/citrus heavy. The coconut milk smooths out the citrus a little and is really nice. The bergamot and lime stay strong and because of that, the heart notes get a little muddled. I do get some floral in the mid but, I cannot pick out the individual floral notes. The sugar cane holds those florals together. On the dry down, citrus is still the prominent accord. The tonka bean adds a very slight earthy warm spice note and the rum adds a bit of sweet spice but, not boozy. The musk is gentle and I can't pick out the patchouli. This is a fresh scent and the base notes are subtle. After four hours the citrus has really dissipated but, so has most of the fragrance. It lasts four to five hours if outdoors with four sprays. Projection is weak to moderate. Sillage is weak to moderate. This is a great daytime summer fragrance, especially if your going to be outdoors. I can't tell yet if this is ok for really hot/sweaty outdoors though. I think this is more a unisex fragrance. Definitely worth it if your looking for that lime and coconut summer fragrance and definitely worth it for the price.

This is amazing. At first it smelled like a fancy cleaning product that you might mop your floor with, but after five minutes it is amazing. I am spraying it on again and again. Even without extra sprays it lasts long. I will buy this again.

One of my favorite summertime colognes. The coconut and citrus right out of the gate screams summer and beach vacations. I am fine never buying Creed Virgin Island Water because this scratches that itch. I dont care if the OG is better because this price and this smell will keep this in my beach and summertime lineup.

Rayhaan Aquatica is one of the more impressive fresh releases in the clone space because it targets a very specific niche favorite. The simplest and most accurate way to frame it is this: Aquatica sits firmly in the Creed Virgin Island Water lane. From the first spray, the DNA is obvious. You get a bright lime and coconut opening that immediately gives off that tropical beach vibe VIW is known for. It smells sunny, relaxed, and very vacation-coded right away. As it develops, the resemblance becomes even clearer. The mid leans into creamy coconut, soft white florals, and citrus brightness, which creates that smooth tropical blend that made Virgin Island Water so popular. It’s fresh but not sharp, and it keeps that laid-back island feel the whole way through. The drydown stays true to the profile. You get light musk, soft woods, and lingering coconut citrus, which keep it airy and easygoing rather than dense or sweet. It remains very wearable and very mood-driven. Where Aquatica really stands out is in how convincing the overall vibe is. In the air, it captures that VIW feeling extremely well. Most people will immediately recognize the tropical lime-coconut DNA. The key difference, at least to my nose, is the booze nuance. Virgin Island Water has that slight rum-like booziness that gives it extra character. Aquatica tones that down. It comes across cleaner and more straightforward, which some people may actually prefer. The other big talking point is performance. This is where Aquatica arguably improves on the original. Virgin Island Water is infamous for being beautiful but fleeting. Aquatica tends to deliver better longevity and more noticeable projection, which makes it easier to actually wear without constantly reapplying. Stylistically, this is very much a warm-weather fragrance. It works best for: - summer days - beach or pool settings - vacations - casual daytime wear - post-shower freshness It leans carefree and uplifting rather than refined or formal. Overall, Rayhaan Aquatica works because it keeps the magic of Virgin Island Water intact while fixing one of its biggest weaknesses. You get the same tropical lime-coconut escape with stronger performance and a slightly cleaner profile. It may not fully replace the original for die-hard Creed fans, but as an everyday wearable take on that DNA, it’s very easy to recommend.
