This is a great buffer polisher. It feels solid and heavy. The fit and finish are nice. I will say the on/off switch feels less than hardy. The switch is hard to explain. You press the 'bottom' lower part and the top lifts up. Then slide it up over some notches and let go. It's on and stays on so it works. To turn it off you press the same 'bottom' lower part which tips it up and over the notches and let it slide back down. There is spring-like tension where it wants to slide down and off. I have never encountered this style of mechanism before but it does work. Just know it's not a trigger. This kit has versatility with the five and six-inch base pads, the multiple handles, and selectable speeds. The two-size pad bases are changed easily enough by holding the spindle with the supplied wrench and turning the pad with your hand. There are several pads to get going right away and there are plenty of universal Velcro pads and bonnets you can buy later. I think the versatility of handles is nice. You can leave the two handles off and just use the more rubbery tip and hold the handle with the other hand. Or you can use the single side handle or double overhead handle (which has notches to firmly set angles on that handle). You can see these examples in the marketing pictures. The speed selection is a dial on the butt of the handle. There are six numbers for speeds. The cord is a nice long 16.5 feet! It's powerful and I specifically wanted this random orbital so I am less likely to 'burn through'. My first test went well. No complaints. It is easy to handle. Overall this tool is worth it as it saves time and produces a great finish. I am not a pro and won't use this but a few times a year. For my scenario, I think it's a value. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. This tool came with 5inch and 6inch Velcro disks. Nice, I can use it for sanding as well as buffing and polishing. I like the 6 position speed adjustments and found them to be a good range for my needs. The video was shot on setting 2 and I will try higher speeds when I get "up to speed" with this DA. The U shape handle and the side select handles are quite useful. The on-off slider button is different, strange to get use to but functional. I'm glad I don't have to hold down a trigger all the time. I found the U handle the best for RV work but on a wood sanding project earlier, I use the side handle more comfortably. I can't compare it to other DA tools as this is the only one I've used but I am pleased that it helped me restore the surfaces of my 9year old RV to better than new. The long power cord is nice and earns it's keep. The array of added tools-pads is enough to get me started but a few sanding disks would have been nice but not a deal breaker. As a Vine user, I was happy to get this for evaluation and glad that it is in my tool box and a real keeper. Price shoppers may look elsewhere. This package is capable and ready to serve any need I think I'll have as a "combo tool". I did attach the wrench to the cable with the Velcro strap so it's always handy. It feels well built and solid for it's size and is surprisingly quiet at lower speeds. Don't put too much pressure, watch that the disc gets to spin because that is what gets the work done. Very pleasant surprise - this is sturdier, quieter and nicer than I anticipated. For a right angle tool, its very quiet - and runs smoothly - its a DA - so it has some vibration depending on what disk and pad you are using but its minimal Variable speed range is great and works well This kit includes 5" and 6" disks and pads - foam pads feel a little soft but I consider the foam pads "expendable" - some last for several uses depending on the project but not always - "Great" pads can be quite expensive, so I don't ever expect to find them included with a tool. Ergonomics are quite good - the thin body and two handle options as well as a nice grip on the front of the unit itself allow lots of ways to hold the polisher depending on the work and position - The power switch works a little differently but works fine and latches in the "on" position but also releases easily - its just a slightly different arrangement than some. Really nice value for anyone wanting to get into car detailing, and paint correction. Comes with some pads in different sizes, and they are pretty good quality as well. I like this DA better than the one that came from the local detailing shop, and this one has everything you need to get started (except compounds). The six speeds allows you to select the right speed for the wax or polish you are using and with the ability to change the pads on the fly you are able to do touch ups if you are not satisfied with consistency.
