Okay so....These are legit rays. After many reviews on it's questionable authenticity I decided to make the plunge. When I received them i brought them into a bans store to instantly compare. All is perfectly comparable and authentic (said by manager) except one thing...the creaking. These things creak like no other when opened, touched, moved, even worn. If i made a facial expression they would creak, and the in store compared ones did not. So I asked the manager if I could see a new pair instead of the display models. They obliged and low and behold, the new, authentic Ray Bans from in store creaked as well. Solace. *fast forward a few months* With some regular use my glasses have now broken in and I couldn't force a squeak or creak out of them if I tried. I am pleased with the way these glasses look and...sound...on my face. But I must remove two stars from the review for an unfortunate major reason... I am a 6'4" male with an above average head so these glasses don't look or feel large on my head by any means, in fact it's why I opted for this line of rays due to clubs or classics looking like I am wearing contact lenses with frames. Here in lies the issue. Even though these fit my face very well, the weight of the crystal lens against the plastic arms is so lopsided, that these slide these off my face constantly. To the point that I am sub consciously perching my ears in attempts to hold them up, causing some major headaches while wearing them. God forbid I am sweating in the least bit, these slide down off my face effortlessly. It's frustrating to find ray bans that fit my head yet the balance of the glasses keeps me always having to finger the bridge of the glasses back up my face Great look for a larger face High quality glasses with beautiful lense clarity but sadly, poor balance and comfort ... show more

    • Great Glasses, but TOO big!

I really loved these glasses from first sight, I was SO excited to receive them. I was a bit nervous when I did read some reviews that said people with large heads said they fit great just because I do not have a large head but I figured I would just have to get them and try them and see how it went. SO got them in the mail, again, absolutely LOVE these glasses, authentic glasses, case and cleaning cloth, very sturdy and well made BUT when I wear them and bend forward to say, grab groceries to put in the car, they nearly fall off my face! Now, let me be clear though...I went to a Sunglass Hut in the mall to get some more information on sizing, etc. I was told by the person there that these glasses are really a men's style and they do not come in any smaller size....now I am not the type of person that has lots a pairs of sunglasses, when I like a pair, I wear them everyday, on weekends, gardening, my kids baseball games, everywhere, so it was important to me to have a pair of glasses that don't slide off my face or head and hit the ground (especially when your paying over $100 for sunglasses, I really don't want them getting scratched if I can help it!) Unfortunately, I am returning these glasses, but this was very hard for me because I really do love them! I actually went back and forth with myself deciding if was just going to live with it...but looked online to find another pair of Ray-bans I like, so I purchased the Wayfarer 5140 polarized to replace these. I would not recommend these glasses for woman (or men) with a small-normal sized head as they will likely slide off and end up smashing on the pavement :( BUT if you have a decent sized head and like big glasses look and the feel of polarized lenses, definitely get these, they are wonderful! ... show more

Let me just start off by saying that as long as your buying directly from Amazon (so sold and shipped by) there should be absolutely no question as to authenticity. I received two of the three pairs I ordered three days ago (one of these, two pairs of Erikas - the third should be coming tomorrow) and they're perfect. After reading various reviews voicing concerns of authenticity, I made sure that under seller I selected the Amazon option for each pair (a few bucks more than some, but still way lower than the RP). I would highly recommend that if you buy through Amazon that you do the same to ensure a hassle-free and worry-free purchase. I first came across these about a year and a half ago after I somehow managed to bend the frames of my Ray-Ban aviators. I have a larger than average head/face, so as much as I like wayfarers and clubmasters, they really just don't look right. I ended up buying them for full price from a well-known online dealer (best known for their large selection of shoes) and was more than happy to do so. They're really a great looking pair of sunglasses. I gave my first pair a beating over the past year and a half, so it was time that they were replaced. Decided to go through Amazon this time around since I basically got these and a pair of Erikas for the RP of these alone. They're identical to my first pair (dimensions, etching, made in Italy) so I am completely satisfied. Amazon has now officially become my new go-to place for sunglasses. ... show more
