I received the Ray-Ban RB3767 sunglasses through Vine, and after a week of use, I find myself genuinely puzzled by the $194 price tag. The materials and build feel indistinguishable from unbranded sunglasses I’ve purchased for under $30. Lightweight metal frame, gradient lenses, basic hinges—nothing about the tactile experience suggests premium craftsmanship. Yes, they come with a branded case and cleaning cloth. Yes, they offer 100% UV protection. But these are standard features, not luxuries. The “Arista Gold” frame is gold-tone, not actual gold, and the overall construction feels more ornamental than enduring. Ray-Ban trades on legacy—James Dean, JFK, cultural iconography. But when stripped of logo and lore, this model feels like a fashion echo rather than a functional standout. If you’re buying for the brand, you’ll get what you expect. If you’re buying for quality, there are better values elsewhere. Newer, less iconic brands like Carfia and Zenottic offer similar—sometimes superior—features such as polarized lenses, spring hinges, and UV400 protection, often at a fraction of the cost. These alternatives may lack the legacy, but they deliver where it counts: comfort, clarity, and craftsmanship. Don’t get me wrong—these are well-made sunglasses. But they’re significantly overpriced, and that premium seems to stem from the brand name alone—not from any exceptional features, materials, or design.
