The New Wayfarer (RB2132) is a modern update in lightweight nylon: smaller lens height, flatter angle, more universal fit. Which Wayfarer size is right for me? Each Wayfarer family has multiple sizes: • RB2132 New Wayfarer — 52mm, 55mm, 58mm • RB2140 Original Wayfarer — 50mm, 54mm The number = lens width; smaller fits narrower faces. I have owned Ray-Ban Wayfarer sunglasses for decades. Always hand made in Italy. While searching for a new pair (being the detailed internet shopper I am) I had several in my cart, because I wanted polarized only and not all are polarized. Then I notice that some were made in China (and they are almost as much in price as these) and these here handmade in Italy. The. I went back and looked at them all very closely. Not only were only a few pair (out of all the different shades and colors) polarized but only one vendor (that I could see) had them hand made from Italy. What's up with that? From what I can tell they have licensed the name but they are made in China. Now they may be fine don't know didn't order them but these are just as comfortable, beautiful, well made and genuine (not saying the others didn't purchase the license) but I know that these are the same ones I've benn buying for decades. These are exactly as advertised, as cool as the day they were invented and with great quality. All the markings are legit and authentic, and the package arrived on time. The case is nice, and it comes with a microfiber cloth to keep it all clean. I would definitely buy again. THAT BEING SAID: There are a couple things people should know before buying Wayfarers. I swear by them and this is my third pair, so I know what works for me and what doesn't, and there are a couple things that are easy to miss. 1) These are pretty heavy, boxy shades. You're getting exactly what the picture shows, and you should expect a little more weight on the ears and nose than other sunglasses. 2) They can get a little slippery if you sweat, since there's no rubber grip or nosepad. That's never been a problem for me but if you sweat a lot, you might want to think about a different pair (or maybe get some croakies or something to hold 'em in place. If those two things sound okay to you, I would definitely recommend buying right here on Amazon. ... show more

I ordered these to replace my beloved pair of Wayfarers, which I left in the grass at a park full of college kids. RIP. We had a good four-year run. As they are my favorite pair of sunglasses and I want to wear them for a festival this weekend, I had them overnighted. 1) Amazon Prime one-day shipping is freaky fast. These arrived on my doorstep less than 24 hours after I placed my order. 2) You cannot beat the price on these. In a store, a polarized pair of Wayfarers will set you back $200. These were much more affordable, and you can't beat $3.99 one-day shipping with Prime. 3) The quality is fantastic. These are sturdy sunglasses, and they look classic and stylish. I received a perfect pair of brand-new sunglasses. They fit perfectly and I don't find that they slip off, even when my face gets sweaty. The polarized lenses really make a huge difference, especially on the water or when driving. I prefer the tortoise color over the black because it hides fingerprints better, although it's still a very dark brown tortoise color so the difference between the colors is not very noticeable from a few feet away anyway. ... show more

    • Fake - You get what you pay for.

When the price looks too good to be true it probably is. Mine were very high quality fakes ordered from the seller "Sunbathing" at around half MSRP. I ordered the tortoise frames with green polarized lenses. Everything about them was identical to the real thing except the lens angle was not right. The 2140s should have a drastic angle where the arms meet the front of the frame. Mine had close to a 90 degree angle. I even took them to Sunglass Hut and compared them to the same model 2140, angle was not right at all. However, some people who prefer the straighter angle may be satisfied with these, especially since they are significantly cheaper than retail price. Another giveaway was the printing quality in the booklets they come with. The images were terribly pixelated, looked similar to if I tried to print it on my home printer. They're good quality, but still fake. I'd rather have the real things. ... show more

I originally bought the New Wayfarer (2132 55mm) but ended up exchanging them for these (2140 50mm) because the new wayfarer style did not feel as sturdy or well built as the originals. I was hesitant at first because I knew the original wayfarer had a tilt to it and I read they don't fit some faces. I was please to find out that they do fit comfortably and look very great. Definitely recommend trying in store before purchasing. Great product, 100% legit. ... show more

I have ben wearing Ray-bans for 30 years. Wayfarer's, Club masters, Under Current Thick -They stopped making those I miss them the most. They were like half of a Wayfarers height and sleek.
