REAL OR FAKE: Here it is...an up to date review on the authenticity of these glasses. I purchased the matte havana frames with the blue/green polarized lens. I read all of the reviews (well, all the 1 stars and quite a few 5's), got a little scared that I was wasting my time purchasing fake Ray Bans and decided that since I had Prime I could always take them back for free. I just received mine in the mail and they came in the silver box, inside a black Ray Ban case with the micro fibre cloth and a little booklet. I checked all of the ways online on how to check if you have bought a fakes or not, so I quickly put my new pair to the test. They passed my own inspection with flying colors (notice the pun, and the day this was written, tehehe). Anyway, I was 99% sure that the lenses were actually polarized, that they were genuine in every sense of the word, but since this was my first pair I decided to take it to a local merchant that is also a certified Ray Ban seller (along with many other brands). I compared first myself with the other new wayfarer's in their store, and I found that my pair was actually more sturdy and elegant. This might have been because the models I looked at were on the show floor, but mine seemed heavier slightly, more tight and just nicer. Then I used their polarized display and sure enough the lenses passed the test perfectly. So I handed the pair over to the specialist and let them inspect it. Guess what? It was 100% genuine RayBan's. Then they asked why I was here not buying from them...this is the fun part. I told them I bought these on Amazon for $28 including overnight shipping. How's that, you ask?!!?! Well, as of right now this exact pair just dropped in price by $7 since yesterday when I bought them. So at $85 (my purchase price) plus tax and shipping it came out to $98. I didn't have time to spend the $98 so I applied for Amazons credit card and once approved got $70 instantly credited to my account...then I bought these. It's true and quite beautiful, now that I know that I know that I know they are REAL. I did make sure that the pair I selected were sold only from and shipped from Amazon LLC. I also would note that it could be hit or miss with the authenticity of your pair you purchase but hopefully you can be rest assured that at least some of the pairs sold are legit. These are nice. I mean really nice. They fit perfectly, feel very sturdy, look amazing, match to the "t" other genuine Ray Bans and these don't sweet or make cracking noises or whatever. Actually, in the store with real Ray Bans the plastic pair of wayfarer's actually did make a little bit of noise. They were full price and I felt really smug for beating the system. You can too, but my advice is to have prime in order to have free returns in case you aren't as fortunate. I'm also tempted to get a second pair since it's so cheap right now...hmmmm...yes. These glasses are BEAUTIFUL! They are the newer version of Wayfarers, and fit snug on my nose. Does not fall off at all. Wore it on a boat ride and sturdy as can be! These are DEFINITELY authentic Ray Bans and fit so nicely. They are the 55mm frame, and they fit my petite face. My boyfriend tried them on and they even fit good on him, too, although they fit a bit smaller on his face. It says these are Mens' sunglasses, but I'm not sure a man would want to wear them unless they have delicate smaller face or heads, or if they like the smaller lens look. I think they still look great on a man, though. Also has RB engraved on the lens! Checked it with the real ones and they are identical!!! They are relatively cheaper than the ones in store because they are not polarized. They do, however, come with a protective leather case and come in a box, as well as a soft cleaning cloth for your lenses. The lens has a sticker on them that says 'blocks 100% UV," and if you want them for protective purposes, these are it! You don't need polarized lenses to protect your eyes or look stylish. As long as is block UV at leas 90%, you're safe! Anyway, very stylish, looks great on my small, girlish face, and have received plenty of compliments on them! ... show more

I bought these puppies back in 2016 and they are an outstanding value! Six years later no issues, no problems, hinges tight, all screws tight, never a problem. I am buying another pair only because after six years of pretty much daily wear and tear, combined with many international trips, they have finally developed scratches on the lenses. I’ve gotten numerous compliments regarding them and many folks have purchased this specific size and style after borrowing mine for a short time, they are just awesome looking and fitting. I paid $95 in 2016, currennt price is $118 so the price really hasn’t increased too much compared to other items I purchased that year. These glasses have been my favorite glasses for the past month that I have had them. The fit and finish are great and I have been wearing them every day. I actually look forward to sunny days just so I can wear them! FIT/SIZE = 5/5 First of all, I have read all the reviews on this site and I decided to get the 55 mm size. I heard most people say that it runs a little small so I decided with the 55 mm. I am happy that I went with this size in the end! First of all, to compare my size, I wear 59 mm in the RB3477 and I have a cap size of 7 3/8. Not sure if that is really that helpful, but hopefully it might be able to give you a general comparison. As for the overall fit, it is great! I tend to play sports a lot and I used to wear Oakleys. However, these sunglasses have been a great replacement. They stay on pretty well when I run and jump. They fit very snugly on the ears and nose and they barely slide down. FINISH/QUALITY CONTROL = 4.5/5 I did have to return the glasses for a replacement 2 times (both times, there was a scratch on the left side of the temple), but Amazon replaced them without any hassle. However, I was irritated I had to deal with two damaged products before I could get a clean pair. STYLE = 5/5 Wayfarers have been around for numerous years, since the days of JFK. It has been a standard for fashion and trend. It looks great on men and women. These are great sunglasses for various face types and fashion styles. Overall, these glasses will appeal to many people. PRICE = 4.5/5 In terms of price, it is great as long as you get a good deal. It's not worth it for a price of $100+, but for LESS than $80, I would say it's worth it. Also, I didn't have any problems with getting any fake ones from Amazon, so as long as you get the glass from strictly AMAZON, you shouldn't have any problems with getting fakes. ... show more
