Like these a lot. Best fitting narrow-face glasses I have found. Very light weight frames, seem almost a little flimsy but they have really been pretty durable so far. A little annoyance that I can see the attachment screws for the bridge piece while wearing the glasses. I'd like to see these in real glass lenses but the clarity of the plastic is very good. Many more pluses than minuses for these, a really excellent pair of glasses. If you're patient you can get a good bargain, got mine on sale for $100. ... show more

Regardless of whether you buy these directly on Ray-ban.com or Amazon, you will find that they are all made in China. However, if you buy on Amazon you’ll likely get a better price & you’ll have a way better return experience should you need it. The Ray-ban brand as you may have known it previously is *no more*. Ray-ban is now just a brand subsumed by an Italian conglomerate years ago, that more recently has made the EPIC mistake of making its products in China. ... show more

    • Nice design, questionable Chinese craftsmanship, time will tell
This is my third pair of these glasses (actually, the first pair were RB3179, but same lenses, frameless, gunmetal...). The first pair lasted many years, 5+, before the metal holding one of the nosepiece broke. My guess was metal fatigue from adjusting the fit. I still use these for driving when I forget my current pair at home. I lost the second pair in the surf, but they were in excellent shape after 2 years. The visual acuity of the lenses is great. The frames are light and comfortable, and the hinges on the arms are solid and allow for a little movement apart, which I believe help keep the frames tight on your head. I use these glasses for driving, running and just walking around. I find them to be a nice combination of performance and style. Now, although the price hasn't come down, these are now made in China (stamped on the frame). Because I lost the second pair, I can't speak to longevity and do not know if those were still Italian or Chinese. The first pair was very solidly constructed in Italy, and I see this newest pair is made in China. On one hand, I don't particularly care as long as the materials and craftsmanship do not change. On the other hand, would you buy a Ferrari made in China for the same price? I love the style and fit, and if they hold up, I will buy them again. However, China is also really good at making knockoffs from the same factories for a fraction of the price. It's a shame Ray-Ban has chosen to sully their reputation for a short-term pop in margin. ... show more
