    • Not a hiking boot, but I loved these none the less
I bought these for a hiking trip that never ended up happening because of Covid. I put them on anyway to break them in and I was surprised at how much cushion and flexibility they had despite their rugged appearance. They quickly became my daily pair of shoes I reached for. I have never had a great experience with waterproof shoes, but I was pleasantly surprised that these shoes were in fact waterproof and not only water resistant (Up to the tongue line of course). I could submerge my fee in ankle-high water and not have an issue with the caveat that I wouldn't leave my foot submerged for an extended period of time. This feature was incredibly important to me (even as a college student) because most mornings the grass near my residence was soaking wet from the early morning due and I could roam wherever I pleased with no fear of showing up to class with wet feet. This feature came in handy again and again and I have spent the last two years without the worry of choosing my path based on where water is running. It sounds like a small issue, but it made a big difference to me. I eventually brought these backpacking to capitol peak and they were not fit for the trails. The treads had about a year of wear and significantly less traction than my comrades. I had a lot of difficulty on rough, slippery, or rocky terrain. The sole bent around and absorbed smaller rocks, which led to a slower and more painful passing of rock field. I put on a significant amount of additional wear to these boots during that trip (more than would be reasonably expected) and noticed how much thinner and more flexible they were by the end of the hike. If you're looking for a pair of hiking boots, these are not a good option. If you're looking for a pair of shoes that will keep you dry for two years with minimal damage or wear (minus the backpacking trip), I would wholeheartedly recommend them. The 5 stars is for looks and comfort. As far a durable, to soon to tell. I had to share how well these shoes look. And comfort, amazing. Overall, cannot beat the price for a shoe like this. The tread is aggressive. My only complaint so far is the paw print on the heel of the shoe. I’m my opinion, it reminds me of paw patrol and it needs to be taken off. Only time will tell how long they last. I’m not gentle on my clothing or shoes. So far though, trx is great. I even bought another pair I like them so much. ... show more

This is my second pair. I work in a garden nursery center walking in gravel, mud, concrete. They hold up very well. I wore them yesterday on a 4 mile hike on a crushed gravel trail. Traction was excellent. Good enough support to even run/jog in as well. Highly recommend especially over Keen's which came unglued. I'm 5'7", 173# & I wear a size 11. Fit as expected. ... show more

Size 11, light khaki. I used these every day for hiking and long walks this past fall and I would say these are easily the most comfortable shoes I’ve ever worn. The fit is comfortably snug and the arch support is just right. They stay surprisingly clean on the top. I never had any issues with the shoe lace hooks as some people have had. The bottoms are more flexible than a rigid hiking shoe, so you do feel the rocks and tree roots under your feet, but that’s just nature being nature. You get used to it. It’s more like a high top sneaker that is also good for hiking. They claim to be water proof, but the tops did get soaked and very cold the first and only two times I wore these to shovel snow around my property. My toes were frozen and felt wet. They don’t claim to be snow boots, and that’s fine. For what they are, they are amazing and I’m definitely getting another pair. Overall, five stars! ... show more

At first I freaked out, they look much larger then most of my shoes. I was sure there are not the right size. The moment I laced them up ....... they took me to heaven. Super comfortable! The "camp" looks little tacky to my taste but I can live with it ))) Great shoes! Totally recommended!!!

I’m about 200 miles in on these things and everything is holding up. Durable enough to feel like you’re wearing boots, light enough to feel like you’re wearing shoes. Order one size up if you’re worried. I fit 11.5 - 12 depending on the brand. A size 12 for these fits me perfect. Would recommend.
