I got these to replace some 'characterful' glass knobs that the builder of the house had installed. Those were mixed in colors and not peaceful to my mind which prefers matched and quiet elements. The glass knobs were also rather stubby in design - the part up against the cabinet was much wider - almost as wide as the top of these knobs. I had been looking for a simple, stainless knob with a profile similar to the glass ones, but I got sticker shock at upwards $5 a knob knowing that I need qty 30 of them, so I stopped looking for replacements and tried my best to ignore the existing ones. I got 10 years that way, but not long ago my husband was like - just replace them! So I found these on Amazon and got them delivered very quickly for a bargain price. I had some adjustments to make, as my cabinet drawers are far thicker than the included screws, but that was easily overcome. I also found that many of my light colored cabinets had wear marks that were obscured by the existing larger knobs. I used butcher block oil to treat the marks and most of them disappeared. I also had a short period of adjustment as I slowly got used to grabbing the smaller knob. However, now that more than a month has passed, I'm happy to report that I greatly prefer this style of knob, with the thinner 'stalk'. I find it much easier to grab onto and, also because my fingers easily slip around the stalk and up against the top of the knob, I'm no longer actually touching the cabinets, and thus not making new marks against the wood. They are also great with wet, soapy or greasy hands for those moments when you forgot to plan ahead and get everything you need out before you start cooking or cleaning.

I purchased these knobs and another set as I wasn't sure which would work to replace the old knobs we had on numerous bifold doors. These were very heavy, well made and attractive. They came individually wrapped in a sturdy cardboard box with 2 different length screws for each knob. When we installed them, they weren't quite tight enough however we were able to put a small square of cardboard at the top of each screw which held the knobs firmly in place. I imagine you could do the same thing with washers but I didn't have any that would fit and I wanted to install the knobs immediately. The cardboard is on the back of the doors so not noticeable at all. I'm very pleased. The knobs look nice and feel wonderful to the touch. Although I didn't need 30 knobs they were an amazing buy and now I have extras in case anyone one of the knobs need replaced. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them or buy these again.

We bought several different knobs to try out, all black in the same flat black color as these. These were the most affordable, but without that knowledge, my wife and two sisters all agreed these were the best looking out of all the samples. I had to install about 50 of these overall, and I was pleasantly surprised with how simple it was. The provided screws have these sections on them that indicate where one can cut the screw to a shorter length to fit the needs of installation. I installed these on rather thin wooden cabinet doors and drawers, so we needed to shorten the screws. That was a bit of a pain at first, as it took a lot of strength to cut through them with pliers. I don't know what the standard method is for shortening screws like that. Perhaps a hacksaw is used? I got it done with he pliers, but my hands hurt for a bit after that. Otherwise, these went on in quick order and totally transformed the vibe in the kitchen for an arguably very low cost, especially given the impact these things make on the ambiance.

The knobs seem to be well made. They are much heavier than I expected. We have installed them, but we haven't moved into our house yet. Very easy to add to cabinets. They are simple but pretty.
