  • 2005 60 hp efi mecurey
Replaced factory fuel pump due too seal breaking and getting fuel into case oil. Fuel pump was extremely easy to install and the motor runs absolutely flawless. Will definitely buy one every two years to replace at this price. Remember too keep seal ring from stock pump.

  • Perfect fit
Product was an exact match for a 04’ mercury 50hp 4 stroke efi. One comment gave 2 stars cause it didn’t come with a gasket. These don’t use a gasket. There is an o-ring that the new one doesn’t come with so you definitely need to reuse/buy one for the new pump. Or you’ll be taking it back off and adding a fresh quart of oil like me🤦♂️ ... show more

  • Leaks
Do yourself a favor and pay the extra money for OEM. Wasted a lot of time on this one. OEM will run you around $160, but trust me, it's worth it. I was having issues with my motor stalling. Basically, it was running out of fuel and the only way to get it to fire back up was pumping the bulb. It would happen continuously, every 10 minutes or so, depending on the speed. Figured out it was this fuel pump. Ordered this pump figuring I'd save a few bucks. Like other reviews mention, it doesn't come with an O-ring, so save the one from the part you take off, if you're going to try this one. After I replaced it I was noticing a large cloud of oil or fuel in the water Once I shut the motor down. It was leaking from 2 different places. Even with the using the O-ring off the old part, I was still getting leaking from behind the pump. It seems that it doesn't seat very well, even with the O-ring it would still leak from behind it. Tried tightening a few times. Took it off 3 different times and tried to get it to stop but nothing worked. It was also leaking fuel from the metal cover on the front. I tightened the 4 Phillip screws on the front and that helped a bit, but there was still a slow drip. Everywhere I went I left a large cloud of oil and fuel, not cool when the family is using the swim ladder in the back of the pontoon. Also, fish probably prefer their water with no petroleum products. After a month of dealing with this thing I decided to buy the OEM part. You can actually find it on Amazon if you search the part number. 8M0141827 I actually ordered from NuWave Marine because I couldn't find the OEM pump on Amazon. It was only after I searched for the part number that I found it here. Wish I'd had done that first, just for the Prime shipping. It took a week to get it from NuWave. The OEM part comes with a new O-ring already installed and it doesn't leak a drop. Side by side you can tell the difference in quality. I guess for the price of this one it may be worth a shot, maybe I just got a bad one, idk. Just know that you may end up wasting time and money. ... show more

  • Fuel pump
I would not recommend this fuel pump I installed it on my mercury 50hp motor and it worked good for 3 weeks then started leaking around the gasket I put a new gasket in it and still leaks it ended up being cracked and I can’t return it because it was over the 30 day return period I would not recommend this fuel pump to anyone ... show more

  • Perfect fit for a Mercury 60hp
After multiple other fixes completed and still dealing with a fuel issue, the VST was pulled and showed no fuel in the tank. Ordered a the low pressure pump and with in a day all was working again. It is slightly difficult to remove and replace due to the cowling but if your engine is cutting out or starving for fuel at higher speeds, it could be your low pressure fuel pump. ... show more
