Game changer!!
This pedal is high quality. It is a 97% copy of the Pearl P-3002DL eliminator Demon direct drive double bass pedal. This pedal is so customizable that you are able to configure it to your exact specifications. The majority of pedals let you make some adjustments, but the Ranming double bass pedal allows you to make it an extension of your lower body. I was really impressed as to how smooth this pedal is. The pedal makes absolutely no noise and is completely silent. I really like high sensitive. The pedal is also. It's like all I have to do is think about playing a beat and it just comes out effortlessly. I really like how I am able to convert into longboards. I love longboards and this pedal gives you the option of having either style. Even after switching from stock to longboard, the pedal is still secure, strong and gives me confidence. The pedal cones with tools, so don't listen to people complaining about having to buy tools. Just put the Allen wrenches in your drum key bag and you'll never lose them. My other petal is a brand new dw5000. It's actually called the 5002, and I really like it, but when I saw this direct drive for 200 bucks- I knew I had to investigate. I'm telling you, coming from one drummer to another, that you need this direct drive pedal and you will not be sorry that you purchased it. Good bless, take care.

2 Direct Drive Pedals for $200 ($230 now, still worth!)
Update a year later: these things are still just as smooth as the day I bought them. Still can't recommend them enough. They stick to the bottom of your foot when you play and recreate every foot movement as a pedal stroke in a way that no other I've played before or since (including other direct drives I've poked around with since) purchasing do. One thing I left out initially is how good these things are for playing doubles strokes. I play extreme metal and learned doubles on a cheap chain double pedal. Swapping to these improves every aspect. I swapped the spring rocker can mechanism to WorldMax SP-20 because it functions more like the Pearl one. Not necessary but they were cheap so why not. Update: This thing is amazing, I just learned you can convert the pedals to long-boards! Check the images to see how to do it or look up the Pearl P-3002D Manual (which I learned this is a clone of). It has the instructions. I was looking at the DDRUM QSSDBP but when I was ready to buy, there were none in stock. Then I found this and thought it looked modular enough to be able to split it into 2 independent pedals. You can! The pedals I had before this were really cheaply made and I had replaced the chains with straps. It worked but I was to try direct drive. I've never played any other direct drive pedal brand before so I don't know how they compare, but they are sturdy, fast, modular so easy to assemble and disassemble. I can't believe this was only $200!

No brainer
You strictly can’t beat these for the price. If these are near the top of your budget, don’t hesitate. This is far superior than any entry-level namebrand pedal. You’ll enjoy them right out of the box. The driveshaft is the worst part and you can loop it up until it’s smooth. This pedal will not last you long as in years if you’re a hard player, but for the price point, you’re going to get your moneys worth out of it. The beaters that come with it are too short plan in your budget to grab an aftermarket pair of those as well.

Wholesale demon drives
Going to put this right out there. Yes, I know these are clones of the demon drives. Yes, I know you get what you pay for. Drumming needs quality, specially most of you who will be buying these are metal and hard rock players. This has held up for me for a couple weeks with no issue and I’m an extremely heavy hitter. The driveshaft is just what it is, a driveshaft. I already had a trick driveshaft so I have no comment on it other than it works. Not sure how long it would last. I swapped out the beater screws for some better ones at Home Depot (three bucks total) and I go between ACD and Danmar beaters. For the more death metal, I like the light beaters for doubles. For oldschool thrash, I go wood. As many of you know, these do convert to longboards and they work great. They do feel nice. I’ve had demon drives in the past for years and I will say these are a nice clone. I’ll update this when I see fit, but for now these are great. Specially for 229. It’s worth it even if you’re going to replace these later.

Unusable driveshaft but otherwise pretty decent
The good: - Performance with a quality driveshaft (Trick, ACD) is actually great - Has all the adjustments you need for footboard height, beater angle, etc. - Convertible to longboards - Sturdy The bad: - The included driveshaft is horrible, unusable - 3 different hex keys are required in addition to a drum key for adjustments - Quality of the aluminum machining leaves a bit to be desired - Heavy Overall, I recommend these despite the shortcomings, although I do think that an alternative driveshaft is a must. Words cannot describe how bad the included one is. I'm happy using these on my practice kit, but due to the various hex keys required to make adjustments and the weight, I would not feel comfortable gigging with them regularly. The price is right for what they are, and if you have a spare driveshaft lying around I think they're worth it.

Shut up and take my money already
This is completely worth the money. The versatility of these is sweet the multiple wrenches needed for setup is of such a non issue to anyone who understands what well made clones these are. I would buy these a 1000 times over. Longboards with direct drives makes these smooth, quick, and responsive. Once you dial them in get ready for the smiles to erupt.

VERY VERY good clone
This is advertised as "beginner" IT IS NOT A BEGINNER PEDAL! IT IS A PRO PEDAL. THIS IS LITERALLY A 96% P3002d Demon CLONE. With an additional $200/250 in parts and a little know how YOU'LL HAVE A 98% P3002d Demon clone with a better foot plate. There really is not to much of a difference between the Ranming and the demon. Parts list: Trick retrofit drive shaft P3002d spring assembly x2 Ninja bearings (optional) Wire to bend your own click lock. YOU add that stuff and you got yourself a VERY VERY functional P3002d clone. It's is Worth and A Worthy pedal.. If you know you know... Just buy it... You'll see. Trust those of us who have bought it.
