I got a SFF computer I'm converting into an htpc, and I got a small form-factor graphics card that only has a DisplayPort out and a DVI out. RCV requires HDMI, and this cable makes it so I don't have to go through a bunch of adapters to make you go from DisplayPort to HDMI. I'm testing it on my regular computer monitor, and it will do 3440 X 1440 at 60 hertz no problem, even lets me overclock my monitor to 75 Hertz. Plenty of bandwidth. I hate writing negative reviews, since everyone loves a positive review. It also means I got stuck with a bad product. In short, this cable does not attain maximum resolution. The max resolution when using this cable is 1920x1080, and it's shaky at that. Had I known this, I would not have purchased the cable. It looks great, and it seems to work at lower resolutions, but that's where the fun ends. I tried this in two computers (same 4K-capable monitor) and in both cases, the picture was shaky and could only attain 1920x1080. Non-converting cables (DP-DP, HDMI-HDMI) both work perfectly and drive the monitor properly. I'm giving it a 2-star rating since it sort of works, and also since no one pays any attention to 1-star ratings / rants. Hope you get better results from this product than I did. I'll be contacting the supplier in hopes that they have a replacement. ... show more

It has been close to two years of daily use with this cable including unplugging and plugging back in many times and I have to say I am impressed with the build quality. Cables are either completely functional or a failure waiting to happen. I have no complaints about this cable, it's excellent. The connection is solid, the signals transmitted to my monitor are exactly as they should be. No distortion, no pixelating, just solid performance.

Great quality price match. Works as expected at 1920 x 1080. Have not tested at 4k to verify since that is not what I wanted it for. HOWEVER, 4k capable did persuade me to select this particular cable for future needs.

When removing the cable from it's protective bag, I immediately noticed the cable was very well made. When installing the cable, both ends fit in their respective ports very well with no wiggle. When testing the cable, I can confirm visual quality is as claimed. Overall, I'm very pleased with this cable solution and feel it's a very solid value. Well, there is no warranty for these cables...and really, they're $10, so no biggie, right? I ordered two of them, and one of them just died an inglorious death. Oddly enough, I was trouble shooting just about every other issue with my dual monitor setup, thinking that it might be drivers, the dock, the monitors...thinking that the cables, which were only about 3 months, wouldn't be the issue. Well, I was wrong; the cables were the issue. Tried another DP to HDMI cable, and it worked great. So, it's a crap shoot on how long these cables will last, and that gives it a 1 star from me. ... show more

I might be the only person on earth who had no idea that this cable even existed or what the strange looking port on my laptop was for, I have purchased all sorts of apparatuses just to get my HP laptop to share a screen with a TV - including using a Zoom Room at work, (I love Zoom) - but I needed an easy and very dependable way to share my laptop screen onto an HDTV in Powerpoint using the "Presenters View" so I could have access to my notes - not just duplicate the screen (as in Zoom which always fights with the speakers for videos)......this cable does just what I needed, - the picture is very crisp and clear.
