Solved my "Your current video setup is not permitted?" error message when trying to watch certain things on Fubo TV on my PC. It's plugged into the Display Port on the computer and the HDMI port on the monitor. Everything plays now and didn't using VGA. Nice quality cable.

Just recently upgraded the video card (along with a few other components) in my PC, but in doing so, reduced my available HDMI ports to just one, with 3 Display Ports... so obviously I had to do something about that so I can keep rocking two monitors. Enter this product- it does the job I need it for, and at one of the lowest price points I could find. Friendly warning/reminder of this product's info page, this cord is specifically for an HDMI monitor plugging into a display port; it will not work in reverse.

Here's some pros and cons. I bought this mainly as a test / for review. I already have high speed gold plated hdmi/dp cables I use. Cons - This cord halves the quality of my monitor 100%. Instantly upon plugging it in I could notice the much less bright and somewhat blurry image this thing had to carry compared to any other hdmi/dp I own. Very noticeable difference in color/contrast and clarity of image. -60hz limited. (states this in the product description as well) this to most modern gamers is considered obsolete, and wont be useful to anyone who does more than casual game on a higher hz monitor. -1080p limited. You can buy almost any gold plated DP/HDMI on the market and they'll support higher resolutions than 1080p most likely at a higher hz as well. (More expensive HDMIs support higher refresh rates, but DP supports it all out of the box) - Performance daunt on games due to the fact the cord doesn't communicate fast enough with the monitor. This ends up looking like fps lag, but in reality is the cord, not your pc. Pros - Good build material for the price ratio. Has a button on the end of the DP you need to press in to remove it from whatever piece of hardware you decide to plug it into; no moving, I can dig it. - Good cheap solution if you don't mind the quality of the picture and are looking to momentarily get by on doing casual things other than intense gaming on the PC. - Works well for a second monitor, no issues aside from the noted negatives above. Have no issues browsing the net, watching videos, ect. Keeps up fine for casual use. Could recommend this as a cheap solution to a GPU with 3 DPs/1 HDMI for a 2nd monitor. All in all I give it a 6/10. TLDR; Cord limited, bad for gaming, causes lag, only supports 1080p 60hz, good end product for casual use; not for gaming. Specs used for testing; -MSI GTX 1660TI 6gb OC Edition -Ryzen 5 3600x -32gb Corsair Vengeance RGB Pros @ 3200mhz -MSI Performance Gaming AMD X570 MOBO -Thermaltake V200 Tempered Glass RGB Edition Mid-Tower -Thermaltake Smart Standard 750W 80 PLUS Bronze PSU -Seagate Firecuda flash accelerated 1tb SSHD -Toshiba 1tb SSHD -TC Sunbow 1gb SSD -TC Sunbow 500gb SSD -AOC AGON AG322QC4 31.5" 144hz curved
