  • Good ride and lift
We needed the front lift so the air dam didn’t plow so much snow both ways. This should do the trick. Had professional do the work, though my son could have, but not easy. The ride and control is great.

Daily driver truck, mostly highway some city, no offroad. Allows for larger tires. Fits perfectly on a '16 Ford F150 XLT 4wd Super Crew. Paired with the RS999946 it gave me an extra 2 1/2" of height in the front, which made it completely level. Installed in my garage with professional assistance. Absolutely love the level look. Adjustments values 0-9 for firmness are difficult to tell a difference, but overall it make the front end stiff, which I prefer. Mine are set to 9. Had a few issues installing the bolts as shown on the directions so I had to reverse the bolt alignment which is not a big deal. I have put over 3500 miles on these and still have not noticed any settlement from the shock. Some other reviews state that the stocks settle about 1/4" but I have not had that happen to me yet. Overall I highly recommend these. Similar options are several hundred dollars more. ... show more

  • Noisy
I have had these on for a little less than a year. Daily driver no off-roading 2014 FX4 w/ 275/60/r20. Did all 4. They were great at first. Had them set a little softer than I wanted. After about a month I went to adjust and the knobs were stuck. I got them freed and adjusted. I have a lot of squeaking going over speed humps and any rough roads. The welds on all four have rusted. Have cupping on outer treads of front tires reminiscent of bad struts. I have put about 30,000 miles on. I like the stance of the truck no but if these are already bad that is enough to make a fella curse. ... show more

  • There's a reason why these are cheap
Absolute garbage. I originally ordered a kit for all 4 corners thru stage 3 Motorsports. I had these on for less than a year when the welds that hold the shock tube to the bushing housing on my passenger side strut assembly broke. Notice I said welds. As in plural. No off-roading, no harsh roads, just normal driving with occasial trips to the coast. Packed sand is about as off road as I get. Well I noticed one weld had been broken for a while since there was rust already present on one broken weld, then the second one gave out while driving. I violently felt every small imperfection the road. Dangerous to say the least. And to top it off, while my truck was incapacitated, rancho warranty took about a week and a half to get back to me, and stage 3 took 2 weeks just to respond to my email. Thanks guys! I had to buy one on Amazon(cheaper and much faster shipping) while I waited for the warranty replacement. Both new struts also had fail worthy welds (Pinholes at the stops, lack of fusion) bad enough for me to go with a different brand. Do yourself a favor and save up for a better option. • Quick lift installation challenges.
First off, let me say that these shocks did exactly what they advertised. However, amazon has the left and right side backward on these. Secondly, one strut had installation bolts and nuts but the hardware was missing in the other. I was able to buy the appropriate sized bolts at a nearby hardware store, but be sure you have everything before you disable your truck or you will be walking to the hardware store. I put them on my 2015 platinum f150. The installation video does not take into account how difficult it is to take off the original shocks. In 2014, I think, ford went to a different type of shock. The installation video is for years prior. Basically, in addition to what the video instructions show, you must remove the lower control arm from the frame to allow the lower mounting bolts of the shock to come free of the lower control arm (LCA). This causes pretty major alignment issues so get it aligned immediately. You may need to align it a second time after a few days as the springs settle. Installation complete, it actually causes a higher lift than I want. They tell you it may look too tall at first but to give it a few days to settle. I'm hoping it will as it looks like I'm carrying a very heavy load in my bed at the moment due to the nose being higher than the aft. If things go well, I will come back for a fifth star. If not, I will do an update. ... show more

  • Nice Struts and Shocks just what I wanted
they are just as described, once on truck, feels great. raised the front about 2 1/2 inches to make it level with the back. The adjustment knobs are a little stiff not so easy to turn. Installation was ok. I have built a few cars and trucks before, I have no lift anymore so jack stands and jack. might need Assitance for removal and install of new struts. Shocks were easy and took no time. Total time for front and back about 4 hrs. ... show more
