Edit: So, I've been using this cologne for over a week. This morning, my wife told me that the smell of the cologne made her feel ill. Perhaps it's the mix with my body chemistry or something in this scent just doesn't agree with her. I'm not going to change my rating because I truly love the scent. However, maybe it's wisest to try a sample and make sure your significant-other likes it. Afterall, we wear scents for someone else, not ourselves. I've finally found my new cologne! I used Vera Wang for men for many years but it was discontinued a few years ago. Since then, I've been struggling to find a replacement that I like as much. This cologne is it. If you like Vera Wang for men, I think you'll like this. It has a masculine smell that has just a hint of musk. It comes in a very giftable package as you would expect. The bottle looks like it's encased in metal but it's obviously glass. It looks very classy and I would definitely display it openly on my countertop. The lid flips up but stays attached to the bottle. It's a spray but the spray is easy enough to control so as not to spray too much. For the first time use, I sprayed it on a kleenex and then used the kleenex to rub some on my neck and the inside of my wrists. It's strong at first yet still smells great and isn't overpowering. And after a few hours, it was perfect and the scent mellowed to fantastic. It seems to have staying power as well so it would easily last all day or all evening if going out. I did spray some on my wrists then rubbed my wrists on my neck the second time I tried it and my wife said it was too much. So, a little goes a long way. This is it - finally! I hope it's around for a long time.

A nice men’s cologne scent. Woodsy, amber smell, with a touch of musk. I’m not a fan of heavy musk smells but this one is a little more subtle. My husband likes it and we think it’s more of an evening/romantic smell than a fresh/day smell. But that’s just generally what I think of the amber musk scents. The bottle is awesome and I wish all colognes and perfumes came with flip tops!

I really like its bottle, the workmanship and material are great, very delicate and easy to use. The fragrance it sprays is also very pleasant, not too irritating, not too strong, a light and refreshing fragrance, and the fragrance lasts for a long time, so it is no problem to wear it for most of the day.

maybe 3.5 stars in reality... it's ok but for the money I'd rather get more Versace Eros. I've tried many colognes of late=spent a pretty penny and I like Eros the best. This is good but I doubt I'll buy it again after it's spent. The flask is cool I guess. I don't know what's most powerful in this scent, I guess it is the black currant or whatever but it's kind of off-putting for me.
