Obviously having the handle be multiple sections instead of one solid piece is not ideal, but this one has held together really well without even using Locktite on the joints. I use it to rake up clippings after weed-whacking my "lawn," and it works splendidly. It gets left out in the rain or sun periodically, and it shows no signs of wear or rust. This rake is pretty good for light work. I would not use it for heavy work. It say that it is heavy duty, but every time I use it, I have to straighten the handle a little, because it is bent toward one side.
