I love wearing bright colors when I’m playing tennis or running so I ordered this tie-dye fabric to make my own workout top. The fabric is very soft to the touch and has a nice drape. It is a lightweight 4-way stretch fabric so it may be too sheer for making shorts or bottoms out of this fabric unless you use lining, but is perfect for a top when I’ll be wearing a sports bra underneath. The tie-dye pattern on this fabric is typical of tie-dye…the colors are in a circle pattern. Depending on what color you want as the dominant or main color in your garment it may require extra fabric or careful pattern placement. The fabric sews up easily with my serger or using a stretch stitch on a sewing machine. As with all poly/spandex fabrics, it can be slippery when cutting out your pattern on this fabric. At 66” wide, it’s 6-8” wider than most spandex fabrics (which are usually 58-60” wide), so you may not need as much yardage for your project when using this fabric. Love the colors, this tie-dye is beautiful. No brown spots. The material is soft and very stretchy. I’m making a skirt out of it. I will post a photo once I’m all done with my sewing project. All in all so far, a really pretty fabric that is fairly easy to work with.

This fabric is so flimsy that the only thing I can use it for is swimsuit lining. A huge disappointment that I had to wait weeks for the delivery and then can't use the fabric as intended. Update: The seller offered a full refund of the purchase price (and I accepted). I really appreciate the gesture. While the product was disappointing the seller is solid. I am very pleased with this fabric. It is brightly colored and has a really nice level of stretch. As such, it was the perfect choice for making the style of crazy print leggings my daughter loves. and being 66" wide, I could actually get a pair for a size 4 adult out of them in a capri length!

I haven't used this yet, and honestly don't know what I will use it for, but the colors are gorgeous and the fabric has a nice feel and stretch to it. I thought I might use it to insert some stretchy side panels into some t-shirts that people were tie-dying at a retreat I went to. Several people had t-shirts that were too tight, and this would have worked, but I didn't have the time or a sewing machine to sew them on. Thin 4 way stretch spandex. Very soft feel as opposed to the more satiny feel of some spandex fabrics. I will be using this for ice skating practice dresses and will be using a thick lining fabric. This is good quality stretch fabric. It stretches well in all 4 directions. It's soft and it's not sheer. It works well for dance wear, active wear, or swim wear. My only real complaint is that the colors are not at all evenly distributed. This means you need to be really particular about what part of the fabric you use for each part of a garment. Pattern matching would be impossible, and if you aren't careful you may end up with a large block of one color rather than a rainbow tie dye effect. ... show more
