I guess I should have paid attention to the reviews that said order the next size up. It's a good 1/2" narrower than my present (large) helmet that fits just fine (also bought on Amazon several years ago). Funny thing is, according to online size charts, I should take a Medium. No way.

I'm a small adult. So I bought an XS. Fits well, if not a little heavy on my head. The helmet itself is actually pretty big around my small head, but I suppose the more padding the better. The only thing I am not in love with are the snaps for the visor. They are not the best, and the visor unsnaps really easily (even when not touched). ... show more

Bought this for my 12 year old daughter as a mini bike helmet. She likes it. You need to take a head measurement and get the fit right because the padding on the inside of this helmet is like rock. For the price this helmet is unbeatable. I measured my head, and according to their charts i needed a large. That is what I got, and since I have short hair, it was a pretty loose fit. My girlfriend needed the medium, and it was a tight fit (she has big hair.) The helmet is clunky and bulky, but it works well. My only complaint is that since it is a bit large on me, when i get over 40 mph it starts to slide back on my head. But that was remedied by wearing a bandana. Wow! What steal l made!! I bought this used for $12.00!! I buy lots of used items from Amazon, very rarely with any issues. This is in perfect condition, still has tags on it, box looks terrible, anyway l scored. As for size l wear a 7 3/8 hat l ordered the large, perfect fit... If you wear bigger than that go up in size. If you wear smaller than 7 1/4 go a size down..This is a nice helmet for it's price range!!! ... show more

I had this helmet for a few days and I got the 2xl. I thought it was tight but when I went online to see if it fit right everyplace I read was saying it was a good fit. I took it to the MSF class and the instructors said it didn't fit and the brim of helmet should be lower on my forehead. This was the first helmet I ever tried on and it seemed well constructed. I ordered a GLX helmet (3X) and it was tighter on my head than the Raider helmet. I'll find something. ... show more
