  • Solid, stable & well made.
Style: Propeller Drive
Arrived in great condition, easy to assemble, minimal hassle. The two parts are sturdy and heavy. They interlock and they are secured by latches. The rudder assembly inserts into the back via a pin and retainer. The seat is adjustable front to rear and is secured by two knobs. The pedal/propeller assembly is held on a by a quick-release/latch and can be raised and lowered easily while sitting in the kayak. For transport I remove the pedals/propeller, seat and rudder to make life easier. It was stable, getting in and out a breeze and I was able to use the paddles when getting near the shore as I had the rudder/propeller retracted in shallow water. In deeper water the propeller drive moved me along quite nicely. The front storage compartment isn't accessible while on the water, but the rear compartment is. It takes a bit to get adjusted when first using the pedals, but it doesn't take too long before it becomes second nature. I would highly recommend getting a kayak cart for wheeling it around if you want to assemble it away from the shore. Like I said, it is heavy, but in a good way. My other advice is don't get too OCD or fixated on the two halves fitting together, just put them together and close the latches. It's not going to be perfect. Once you use it, you will understand that it's a sit on top kayak and not a boat. ... show more

  • Awesome kayak for fishing!
Style: Propeller Drive
Awesome kayak so far! Have caught many fish from it already. Steady enough to stand on while fishing. Lots of room for accessories. Pedal drive works flawlessly in forward and reverse.

  • Great kayaks
Style: Propeller Drive
I do not write many of these, but this is a great kayak for someone just getting into it and would like a peddle drive. It comes apart pretty easily and feels very stable and well put together. Only issue I have had sometimes is with the rudder. You have to adjust that u til you get it right.

  • Not Worth the $
Style: Propeller Drive
Bought this two months ago and have been using it quite a bit. Caught a Lot of nice fish. Overall most everything works well and is easy to assemble, store, and transport. I love the stability; I can easily stand up in it. The pieces are not as light as they make them out to be in the videos, but a fit person can carry them one at at time. Just don't plan on going a long way! Assemble first and put it on a cart for transport unless you're close to the water when you unload. Rudder was easy to assemble and has worked fine with no issues. There are some definite problems you should be aware of before spending this much money on a kayak though. First, the pieces really don't fit that well together; never did. Not sure if mine wasn't made correctly, but the pieces seemed to be somewhat warped or slightly bent. It definitely was not a clean fit out of the box. I can still put it together but am concerned that if it is difficult now, what will it be like in a year or two? And second the pedal drive. There are several things wrong with it. First, it is heavy and awkward to put into place once you're on the water. You can assemble it before you go out and extend it upwards, but this makes the front half very heavy. The lake I tested it out on has sporadic weed cover. This prop easily picks them up and they get entangled and make pedaling tough. I've found the best remedy is to pull up the drive and remove them by hand if it gets too bad, or go to the paddle. Last my pedal drive kept getting worse and made a grinding noise in the gears after each use. The pedals came unscrewed a few times while I was using it. Glad I had my allen wrench wrench in my tacklebox. And after this mornings session the pedal drive system is completely stripped. It will barely turn the prop and now needs to be repaired or replaced. I never did anything extreme with it and followed all the manufacturer's recommendations during assembly. I thought about getting it fixed but that would probably cost what the replacement does..$550!!! So overall the kayak, ease of assembly and storage are good but the most important part; the pedal drive has several drawbacks and barely lasted 60 days. My advice? Wait til they get a new pedal drive system or upgrade them before you buy this. ... show more

  • Great Modular kayak. Easy to transport
Style: Propeller Drive
The Kayak works great. I have the 2 person model. My wife and I both weight 200+ and the kayak is still very stable. With both of us in it it sits really low so I wouldn't take it in the ocean with both of us on it. As a single kayak I have taken it in the ocean with no issues. I have even put a trolling motor in the peddle drive. All in all I am very satisfied. If there were any complaints it would be not enough storage for fishing gear ... show more

  • REELYAK - POOR MANUFACTURER SUPPORT
Style: Propeller Drive
I bought this kayak on Amazon. Received it quickly. Upon unpacking and doing a parts catalog, I noted that the pedal drive assembly was incorrect for the Raider kayak. Also, no spare prop was included for the pedal drive. I contacted the manufacturer for support and was told " THAT IS THE CORRECT PEDAL DRIVE ASSEMBLY, AND NO SPARE PROP IS INCLUDED". Photo shows the pedal drive needed in the manual. The one received did not have the bracket in the middle of the drive with the mounting screws. Upon hearing this I contacted Amazon for a return. Kind of a lengthy return process due to the size. However, credit to Amazon they picked up the kayak, and refunded my money, ... show more
