This case is very compact and has hard sides. I like that a long shoulder strap was provided so that if you choose to carry it on your shoulder, you can. It also comes with dividers that attach with Velcro so you can customize the case to whatever you want. There is also a pocket made out of netting that zippers for batteries and little accessories. Now the reason that I'm giving this four stars is because it could really use some type of foam padding on the inside. There is no cushion at all and when you've got an expensive camera you want some type of padding. I really like the case otherwise, so I think that I will probably purchase some cut able foam padding to put on the inside.

I prefer these textured, hard cases over the ones that are covered with smooth, polyurethane leather, since the latter tend to start flaking and peeling with age. This particular case has a raised camera symbol on the lid to provide a low key indicator of what's inside, though with the size it's either going to hold a smaller camera system (e.g. micro 4/3) or be used for extra lenses or accessories. The included dividers allow you to split the interior into three vertical sections or two horizontal ones, though if you need division beyond that you'll need to figure out something else. Given the sturdy, zippered clamshell design, the case is meant for storage and/or transport as opposed to working out of. You'll still want a camera bag for that kind of functionality.
