Description

Vinyl LP repressing of this 1992 album, released to coincide with the album's 20th Anniversary. Pied off and angry is the best way to describe Rage Against the Machine's first album. A fierce mix of hip-hop, punk & heavy rock exploded all over the music scene in 1992. At first sight an unlikely band; Tom Morello, a nerdy guitar hero who played his guitar like a DJ, political activist Zack de la Rocha who spitted out his lyrics with a vengeance. Together with Brad Wilk on drums and Tim C. on bass they produced one of the most angry records of 90's. The album even contained, dare we say it, hit singles like 'Killing in the name of' and 'Bullet in the head'. Put the needle on the record and get blown away (again)!

  • One of my best sounding records
It's a fantastic album, and compared to a handful of classic remasters I've picked up recently at the same price point, it sounds awesome, even at high volumes. Not that the others were pressed badly, more so mixed badly, they'd get weirdly noisy and incoherent at higher volumes or frequencies. Luckily, this one sounds crisp and clean the whole way through, even at max volume on my amp. ... show more

  • Reminds me of days past
This album is a must have for anyone who grew up in the 90s. Listening to it reminds me of rugby games in the past, listening to music to get pumped up before the match.

  • Absolutely fantastic album
I had listened to a few Rage songs over the years, but was never a huge fan. I decided to listen some more and got this album because I already knew a few of the songs. I absolutely loved it and had it on repeat for days.

  • Great album
This is a great album for a very decent price. Sure you could stream it or buy a download of MP3 files, but if you buy a CD you can transfer it to a digital lossless file which does IMO seem to sound quite a bit better and a little louder. If your short on physical storage space for CDs you could transfer the CD to lossless, then recycle the CD, Win Win situation. We need to get more music like this into the mainstream. We need to stop settling for nothing and kick in the township rebellion. ... show more

  • Excellent Vinyl
For the vinyl version - absolutely killer. I was 11 when this album came out, and it still holds up. Songs I had forgotten about all came rushing back.
