I am a a small woman but was able to put this together myself. It does require a little leverage and looking at the video. The desk looks good and feels strong. We got the rustic. I enjoy that i can stand or sit to break up the time i sit too much otherwise, and its better for my low back too. It does not go as low as i wanted but with a tray it works fine. We bought the rustic finish. I purchuse a tray from the Vivo manufacturer, the 20" and it fits fine for my dell keyboard that is 17" and there is not issue with using that in combo. ... show more

    • Pay attention to the instructions

Overall, this is a great find. I did have some complications with the instructions and one of the legs to the table was defective (which Amazon promptly sent out a replacement)…. The instructions are clear-ish. I’ve built many pieces of furniture from Amazon…tables, chairs, night stands, other tables…I found this standing desk to be more of a challenge for me. As an example, even though they label the correct orientation of the parts, some of the “circles” where the holes go through are ambiguously described…. It’s also difficult to tell which holes in the bar to screw into as there are two sets. Through trial and error I figured it out but this desk took way longer than it needed to. You might have better luck than me, but this isn’t my first standing desk so already have an experience under my belt to compare to. The coloring of the desk is a bit different than I anticipated. It still works with my decor but I expected it to be much lighter for “light oak”. Looked more like a light grey/brown. Overall it’s a great table. Nice and large so plenty of space and the four memory settings are nice to have for quick adjustments. It makes noise when shifting between settings so if that bothers you than be aware of this feature. If you’re not particularly strong, these pieces are heavy and hard to manipulate on their own so you might find it helpful to have a friend or family member assist you with propping up some of the pieces.I still completed it on my own (this also probably contributed to the extended build time) Hopefully they can make the instructions more clear in the future but if you’ve got patience and good spatial reasoning you’ll be fine. Oh and they also have a “how to” video you can watch so if you’re a visual learner this is a great resource. ... show more

I am happy with this purchase. The product is very sturdy. The metal frame is durable. The one issue I have is that the top of the desk is made out of cheap material and there are 4 individual pieces to the desktop. I wish they would have made the top of the desk top one solid piece. But other than that I am actually happy with it. The electric height adjustable feature it neat. This will be in my office for a long time. I definitely recommend this! ... show more

    • Easy to assembly, great size but a couple of flaws…

I had greater hopes for this desk but you truly get what you pay for. This desk arrived on time and was surprising easy to assemble on my own ( took me about an hour and half). It is the perfect depth and width for my needs and the parts appear/feel to be of decent quality. The height adjustment functions as expected and isn’t as loud as I imagined. I’m 5’7 and the max height sits right at the bottom of my sternum. However, this desk has a few major flaws: 1. The box included 4 lockable wheels and 4 leveling studs. While the leveling studs fit, i was unable to screw the wheels in. Not sure why because the screws appear to be the same but I had a really hard time so I just opted for the leveling studs. This was a problem for me because I wanted it to be mobile. 2. Desktop panels do not sit flush. The desktop is made of 4 panels that are attached using wooden rods but for some reason, they do not sit flush and leave unsightly gaps which I know will eventually bother me while I’m looking at them every day during work. It also doesn’t feel secure, so I’m concerned about adding weight to the panels on each side. Going to try to tap them in with a rubber mallet to see if it helps. 3. Wobbly!!! I can’t for the life of me figure out what is causing this desk to be wobbly. It wobbles from side to side at both any height. I reassembled the legs and made sure the screws were aligned and tight but this didn’t resolve it. That said, buyer beware and I likely return it and get a better quality one from IKEA. ... show more
