I was worried about buying this radio because a lot of the reviews talk about how much you have to learn to program it. There was a bit of a learning curve at first but with a few youtube videos and some trial and error it was easy enough to figure it out. now that I'm used to it, its no problem at all to set up a model and i love the control you have over how everything works.     • A fantastic TX!
10/10 A longtime spektrum user coming back to RC after a 7 year hiatus I wanted to be able to use all my receivers on one radio. The 4 in 1 makes life VERY easy. A few months later I picked up an ELRS backpack and now I'll never go back to spektrum or futaba again. This thing does it all and does it well! I can usually get through multiple days of flying on one charge (27000 radiomaster pack or 2200mha LIFE tx packs) Customization is unmatched via EdgeTX software. gobs of telemetry, voice prompts, displays. etc. Just a wonderful radio! Oh, and also the stock Hall gimbals are fantastic although I'm very tempted to get the shiny CNC gimbals. Anyways, for $200 this radio was a steal and I'm happy to gush. Buy one. ... show more

Ok, let me start with saying that the controller is really nice, for the price cant go wrong compare to spektrum! Lots of stuff you can do that ME personally still need to learn.. when you get it you need to update the software! (Free) To the newest version V2.10.4 from V2.7.1, also update the spektrum software in radio to bind to spektrum. Can also install it incase your transmitter doesnt have it! Plenty of videos on this topic on youtube (shane DIY) has videos on updates, (most are just reading the screen instead of showing you how to) At first i had issues finding the dsm in the internal RF, so i had to go to "system" > "hardware" & set the internal RF to "multi" instead of "CRSF", then the rest was the same as the youtube videos. Now i was able to bind the tx16s to my eflite carbon cub ss, otter, even flysky 9ch receiver. its not for a begginer tho, but if you play with setting & having the plane connected to see what everything does, you'll get the hang of it, i was close on returning it because i couldnt bind it, but youtube helped a lot.. Watch some youtube reviews of this radio. For the price you just can't go wrong. Option to add an external transmitter module is very useful. EdgeTX firmware is top notch. Touchscreen is a very convenient feature. This is all around near perfect.

    • Useless instructions
As a newby I was lost trying to adjust this transmitter, the “instructions “ are a minimal few page “quick start” guide which does little other than labeling the switches and knobs, but not explaining what they do or how they should be adjusted. I took it to the flying field and mostly got “I don’t understand this thing. If you had a Spectrum anyone here could help you. I bought a Spectrum and it came with a thick comprehensive manual so I needed no help for setup. ... show more

Excellent product very versatile system have had no issues setup is a breeze if you understand computer's you will have no issues setting this up there are a tone of tutorials on-line if you need help won't fly any thing else

Make sure you double check if you want elrs I didn't know what path I was gonna go elrs or crossfire but went elrs and after a week of frustration trying to get the elrs lua file to open I tore the whole radio apart to find no internal modual other than that it's awesome
