I’ve been working with different bike parts lately and what really stands out is how much of a difference quality components make in the overall ride. Even small upgrades can completely change how smooth, responsive, and enjoyable a bike feels. The drivetrain parts shift cleanly and make pedaling feel more efficient, especially on hills or longer rides. Loving this grip! Very sturdy, does not slip on the handlebar (don’t over-tighten The end locks or you’ll strip the screw). It is a little rough and sticks well to bare hands but nothing terrible. With gloves, this grip is very comfortable for larger hands. Was also a fun add to finish off some upgrades for a little style. The end caps are partly covered by the gum rubber, making for a nice finish. The end caps are a little shiny and seem susceptible to dings and scratches. (Have started bringing a small sock to cover handles and pedals to protect when laying my bike down to protect) ... show more

I like the feel of the grips and color. As some reviewers were saying about the caps coming off, I have to agree that they do indeed come off easily, not sure that I like these at all and may return them. The first time I ordered these I got some without the caps, the company exchanged them for me. The second package had everything luckily. The design of the caps should be made better I think. Constantly having to deal with the caps will get frustrating and not worth it honestly. Quality could be better… UPDATE: My boyfriend and I managed to figure out what was wrong and have to say that these are actually good grips!! ... show more

I love these grips. I have a set on every bike. My only complaint is durability. The compression screws seem to strip rather easily. But other than that they are fantastic.

    • Great grips! Troublesome End Caps...

These are great grips! I picked them because they also sell a matching Raceface Chester pedal. My only complaint would be with the end caps. I’ve had nothing but problems with the lock-on end caps on these grips. After only a few times of setting my bike down carefully on its side, the beautiful black Raceface end caps began to chip and expose the silver metal underneath. This was expected to happen eventually, but not at such an advanced rate. Additionally, probably due to the user error of not installing them quite perfectly, one of the end caps popped off during transportation! Never to be seen again. Which left me with the issue of replacing it. I could not for the life of me find another clamp ring that fits the RF lock-on design. If given the option again, I think I would have gone with Raceface’s Half Nelson Grips to avoid this headache. Same colors, cheaper price. And they don’t have the troublesome end caps to deal with. ... show more

This is my first time with a clamp style grip. Installation was fast and easy. These grips work really well with my novice riding ability and moderate downhill style. They have the right amount of padding and are comfortable in my hands. I usually wear gloves and have not had a problem.
