Overall I really like these boots. They are comfortable even when working in them all day. I like that they came with two sets of laces. [Review for black & blue boots] What's the best thing about these hiking boots? You don't have to break them in, and the insoles are super comfortable, and they're true to size. I'm also impressed with the water resistance. I've crossed many creeks, and the water came up over the shoes, and my feet stayed completely dry. However, I had to give this three stars, because these are not slip resistant at all. I went out on my deck after a downpour, and almost slipped and fell on the slick surface. I've also had some slippage on trying to navigate on rocks through a creek. [Review for the brown shoes] I ordered the brown version of these, and they are not at all like the black and blue ones that I have. First, the sizing is smaller. I ordered the 8, which I did in the black & blue, and it was way too tight. They also do not come up over the ankles. but instead are right beneath the ankle, which I do not want in a hiking boot. ... show more
