At 5'9, 197lbs athletic build, I ordered the MEDIUM in wine for a gala this past weekend. Nice fit throughout the arms and the torso, but a bit loose in the chest. So I washed it (cold and medium dry) and the fit was a better, more snug feel. I looked and felt confident in this sweater. The wine seems more "raspberry" in appearance depending on the light, but it still looked great with a slate-colored suit. The amount of stretch is noteworthy as the torso was a bit longer than I anticipated. Had I wanted a more fitted look, I would recommend the SMALL. I ordered the medium as a precaution. I highly recommend this sweater, you won't regret it. The colors didn't bleed in the wash either so it's good so long as you don't wash it with harsh settings. (Ex: hot wash w/whites and an extra hot dry). Do be mindful of the cuffs though and watch out for hanging threads. Simply cut it off immediately and spare yourself a possible unraveling.

6 ft 185lbs Athletic build, Large isn't so tight where it feels like spray on, and enough room where if it shrinks it'll look even better. I bought XL and Medium with this, XL is HUGE and Long. Medium is what you would expect from slim fit from H&M or Zara (Skin tight). But man, this is such a great turtle neck, the design, the feel of the material, and the weight.

This is reasonably priced. My husband usually wears an L, but I ordered an XL and it fit great (husband is 5'11" and weighs 165 lbs). It's machine washable and I put it in the dryer, but I don't hang it up, I fold it and put it in a drawer so it won't stretch.
