I purchased this wireless device to replace an antiquated rotational switch that was unsightly and ill placed. I was able to have this mounted under the body very easily. The wireless transponder is compact and lightweight and is best secured with double sided sticky tape and zip ties. The solenoid is robust and appears to be high quality and Well sealed. The initial function and operation is fantastic, but it was just installed so we don’t have any long term history with it. The instructions are not clear, but they are easy to figure out. The remotes were paired and the instructions also provide directions to pair them should they not be paired. One remote did not work due to a dead battery. Each remote uses one 23a 12v battery.     • Simple to wire in, rugged and dependable!
Simple wire in, works with pretty much any system you own. After checking it out I noticed you could wire this into almost any control system not just winches. Its held up to water, sand, roll overs you name it. All in all I will buy again!

    • solidly built. needs different connections
worked perfectly on my old harbor freight wireless winch that i lost the remote for. a big project to swap everything out and get it to fit within the old plastic box. like the other reviews, the thing comes with mini round connectors when you need spade connections. plus, the instructions are 75 percent worthless as they are incomplete and not in color. telling you this wire is "out", doesn't help. where does it connect to? you will figure out the wiring until you get to the white and yellow wires which go on the 2 spade terminals. put them on lightly. if the winch is not working in the correct rotation, swap these 2 wires. the remotes are solid and appear heavy duty. (and two of them) ... show more

JUNK DO NOT BUY!!!!! it didn't last even a year. Keep in mind this was mounted on a atv that only gets used for hunting. Very lil use. About the only use this product got was using the winch to strap ATV to the trailer. Went thru hunting season just fine. Then the atv was stored inside and enclosed trailer the last 6 months. Got the ATV out to get ready for hunting season winch doesn't work now. I bought a new battery thinking that was the problem and it wasn't. Using a multi meter I determined the winch solenoid and control box has failed. I contacted seller to see what could be done and they were very unhelpful and do not back there products ... show more

    • Worked on my HF 2500 LB Winch
My QuadRunner had a HF 2500 LB winch whose electrical equipment went bad years ago. Rather than buy a new winch I deceided to try this combo. The unit only comes with instructions for the control electronics, not the solenoid. If you are not comfortable with figuring out the hookup between the two then find someone who can help you or just look elsewhere. Many of the leads on the control electronics will need their terminations changed. For example, the leads that signal IN and OUT have ring-tongue terminals installed but the solenoid contactor has male spade terminals; so you will need to clip off the factory-installed terminals and crimp on female spade terminals. Also the positive power lead for the control electronics has a ring-tongue terminal that is suitable for a #6 screw -- much too small to fit on the massive B+ terminal on the contactor. Same deal - clip off and replace! After these modifications the unit worked very well and I highly recommend it with the caveat that you have a supply of crimp terminals and know how to hook things up. ... show more
