Bought these to put along a fence, and they looked great, but the timer did not work, they would stay on all night, and then I had to shut off & then turn back on. Not sure of it was the timer issue, or that the 3 AA batteries were just not enough for such a large strand, replaced them 3 times over the course of the season. On a good note, unlike some other battery lights I had, these did survive heavy rains, and I will use them again next season. ... show more

I bought 3000 of these lights to put on our Christmas tree that will be floating in the lake. We have set the timer for three days now trying to get it right and not once has it been right. You talk about a flashing light on the battery pack… We don’t have one. we have a black button. Our lights have 8 settings and the 9th one is off. is We push the black button and lights don’t blink twice, I really need someone to get with me on this. If I can’t get the timer to work… every afternoon I will have to go out in a canoe to turn these lights off and in the morning go out and turn them back on. This is so ridiculous. The tree is absolutely beautiful with the 3000 lights… The most important thing to these lights would be the timer which is not working ... show more

We ordered two sets of these light last year and used them on two large bushes near our front door. Very pretty and so easy to use since the batteries were timers that would turn them on at a set time, let them run for 6 hours and turn them off for 18 hours before turning them back on. Once you turned them on at the time you wanted them on, they would run for the next 6 hours and turn back on the same time the next day. Very nice to have these pretty lights be automatic. I just ordered another set for another smaller bush in the front yard. 300 lights in each set makes a nice light to decorate our home. ... show more

I bought this November 2021. Never had issues. before i packed it away i removed the batteries. Just put them back up and when i went to put batteries in, the box started smoking. How can i get a new battery box??

I was not sure how these would be, but the lights stopped working I. Our very expensive tree after a few years and we needed some replacements. Our tree is 7.5ft and the strand was able to go up the tree once and back down again quite generously. Though the wire is black it still blended decent with the dark green branches. For set up I plugged in the bottom and did not tighten our tree so I could spin it as I wrapped the lights, the. Tightened it in the stand after. The lights themselves are not exact classic colors. The colors are a dark pink, orange, blue, and green. The bulbs are small but put out a fair amount of light without being too bright. You could still see it well from outside our bay window. There is no remote, but there is a box that connects to the power box that has a button that changes the light settings. I believe they were (not in order) - solid with all lights lit, flashing off and on, flashing alternating tones (pink and orange then blue and green together), all lights fading then going bright again slowly, and a combination that rotated all the settings. I may have missed one, but those I remember. We left them on all season, most nights not even turning them off at night or during the day. They don’t get hot and all still work after about 3 1/2 months. When removing them from the tree I found the end piece which I had spread the cord wire around one of the bottom branches then loosened the tree from the base so I could easily turn it again. The wheel that they store in has a point that you slide the end wire around and from that point I just gently tugged off the tree and raveled them around the storage wheel as I spin the tree around. The end I unplugged from the power box and stuck through the side hole. Easy peasy! I was worried with how long the strand was that it would be a pain but honestly it was way easier than the lights we used when I was a kid.
