It is good toilet paper, as these things go. And using toilet paper sure beats the alternative. I just hope that with the next wave of the coronavirus, we do not all run out of TP again. All that was left was the off-brands guarded by the armed Poop Nazis, who could barely spare a square. It felt like wiping with cheap brown paper towels from a filthy roadside gas station restroom in the middle of nowhere. Where you are afraid to stop, but there are no other options for 80 miles, and your second Red Bull hit you with a maddening force 100 miles ago. The kind of restroom where the toothless attendant tells you the toilet is in a separate building, and proceeds to give you the key on a giant stick so you don't run away with it. You know, in case you want to return to the restroom to clean it. You run to the cement block building, jiggle the key in the rusty lock, and open the door to the stench of excrement and urinal cake. You look down at the peeling linoleum tile and what you can only hope is dirt in every corner. Holding your breath, you run to the seat. You aren’t sure if the hover maneuver is enough to protect you from the horror lurking under the lid. When your quads have a sufficient workout from holding the squat, you finally look to the left and realize there is no toilet paper. You stare at the empty cardboard roll. It seems like a legit option, if only you can claw it free. But then you spot a single brown paper jutting out from the towel dispenser several feet away. Pants halfway down, you carefully walk across the room, like a cowboy who has ridden for days, to pluck the last golden goodness from the bottom of the box. You don’t even want to know what the sticky stuff is that you just stepped in. Praying your legs still have the strength to unglue your shoe from the toilet handle, you use that foot to flush the can after removing what you can from your can with the tan parchment paper. Finally, you turn the dripping faucet handle and get a skinny stream of scalding water from the tap. There is no liquid soap left in the dispenser, but there is a sliver of slimy green bar soap left on the sink. Nope. You hope the hot water was enough to kill whatever germs you just encountered. After wiping your hands dry on your pants, you pull a hamstring trying to high-kick turning off the tap with your unsticky foot, then attempt in vain to use your elbow to spin the deadbolt on the door to your escape. Carrying the stick under your arm, you return the key to the clerk, who is out front smoking a cigarette. You let him know they are out of toilet paper and soap. He shrugs and says, “It’s on account of the virus”, but you aren’t so sure. But I digress. Northern is a good TP to use in your own, clean bathroom. No key-on-a-stick nightmares necessary.

Quilted Northern Ultra Plush has become my go-to toilet paper, and for good reason! This 3-ply bath tissue boasts impressive softness and absorbency, making it a luxurious experience compared to other brands I've tried. First, let's talk about the positives: the plushness and absorbency are top-notch. It's a real treat for your tush, and the 3 cushiony-soft layers really do pamper you. The 18 Mega Rolls pack is also quite convenient, as each roll is equal to 4 regular rolls. This means less frequent roll changes and fewer trips to the store. So far, so good! However, there is one drawback that might be a deal-breaker for some: the width of the toilet paper. It seems Quilted Northern has decided to cut down the width a bit, and it's noticeable. You might find yourself using more TP than before, which is a bit of a bummer. But, in my opinion, the overall quality and comfort still outweigh this issue. In conclusion, Quilted Northern Ultra Plush toilet paper is a fantastic option for those looking for a softer, more absorbent bath tissue.
