I was very pleased with this product. It went up easy and protected my plants well. However, last night the entire structure collapsed. We did have rain, but it wasn’t windy and it seems to have collapsed inward. It makes me think water pooled on top and the weight of it pulled the structure down. I don’t know how I could have prevented it as I followed the directions and secured the outer plastic well. I’m so disappointed to have spent this money and it is not longer usable. I have contacted the manufacturer and hope for a response soon. Update: while my update is delayed, Customer service was not. They were quick to work with me and sent a replacement structure. It brought great relief knowing I had no wasted the money. I have not used the replacement yet to know if the same issue would happen- unfortunately my plants died in the cold due to the last one collapsing so I will have to wait until next winter to see if it holds up. ... show more

Year after year I've lost various plants and precious cacti during winter, and for the last couple of years rather than leaving them outside to die, I would keep them in our small kitchen, pretty much blocking the back door for months. I finally decided to buy this and bought it before winter. For the price I was considering it an experiment. Putting it together was not nearly as fast and easy as advertised. It took two of us to awkwardly put it together in about 15 minutes. So fast forward 3-4 months and Spring is nearly upon us. Almost all of the plants (and all of the weeds as you can see in the pictures!) survived. The young, small cacti that surely would've died on the front porch survived. The palms that always die in a freeze (but eventually come back) stayed alive and well. The basil...well, basil is basil and it died. BUT they lasted past the first two freezes. It was ugly and light green, but it was still alive for a while. A couple other delicate flowering plants gave up the ghost around the same time as the basil. The weeds flourished - lol! All this through a Texas winter, which is alternating between drops into the teens or so, to warm in the 80's. It's pretty windy a LOT. Maybe winds around 30 mph. I got a lot of use out of the zippered windows and "doors" on the nicer days. I was very careful in zipping and unzipping in order to not rip anything because they do seem tight. And then in the beginning of March there was a huge storm with reported 80 mph winds that uprooted and blew the entire thing across the yard. All of the stakes and guide ropes were gone. BUT the greenhouse was still in one piece! Filthy, but not a rip or tear. So hubby and I got it back in place and used a few stakes from our Christmas inflatables to hold it down somewhat. Meanwhile I had contacted customer service in order to purchase new stakes and rope. Instead they sent us new ones free of charge so our temporary stakes were only used a few days. The email responses were extremely quick and helpful. In the next few days we'll take it down for the season and we'll be able to use it again next year with full confidence. I honestly couldn't say if this would be substantial enough in a "real" winter like in Iowa or New York with snow and ice and sustained temps in the teens or lower. I seriously doubt it, unless you had a heat source. But if you live in Texas or anywhere else with fairly mild-to-crazy winters, don't hesitate to buy this! ... show more

I only had this a week or two. This would of been great if it could handle wind. Several times it has collapsed and this time the aluminum pieces bent and broken in half. Not worth the money for something that's going the break on you on some wind. Edit: I received an email shortly after the review was submitted. They replaced the broken piece and refunded 20$. I will change it to 3 Stars only because of the customer service but I still think this is way too expensive for something like this unless they are planning to replace the pieces every time they break which I'm sure they won't do that. And this will break again guaranteed. ... show more

We bought this to put over a little chicken coupe for some very cold nights (which it did what we wanted!) but the frame was eventually devastated by the wind. We had all legs staked down and all tethers staked down and what ends up happening is under windy conditions the tube frame will buckle and the entire thing will collapse as the wind rips it from the ground. This one was nice but if you are going to be under a wind advisory you will want to take it down. Mine is now in the garbage. ... show more
