Ok...I've read reviews and while it does say portable....Ask yourself this: WHY ARE YOU BUYING A SUCH A LARGE GOAL? Look, large goals are designed to be sturdy for safety reasons. Any item, such as the large size goal, that is actually portable like this product, is a feat itself. This is sturdy. It breaks down but I didn't buy it break down. I bought it for my yard and private training sessions. But c'mon....you gotta know the carrying bag is not going to be easy to pack (insert any experience with something that has a carrying bag). Yes, the carrying bag is not great- go get a Christmas tree bag- problem solved. As a coach, I can't understand why you'd need something like the large size goal to be portable. This goal looks great in my yard. My kids and students blast shots at it day after day without issue. Take the time to add extra stakes (if you do, the design actually rebounds the ball back out). It's easy to move around for landscaping. The netting is well secured and of good quality. I'm getting another one. This thing is better than the "open goaal" product I have outside as well (same size goal btw). It seems like it's going to hold up for a while and for the size and quality, this goal is definitely worth the price. Its portable, yes, but I'm using it as a stationary training tool that can be broken down when needed. Oh- assembly was a snap. The bottom bar doesn't lay flat and it kinda threw me a curveball at first. Just stay the course during assembly, stake it in the ground, and it'll all make sense. I added a heavier duty u shape stake for added safety for heavy use, but its not really required for average use. Enjoy! ... show more

I ordered two 12x6 QUICKPLAY Kickster Elite Portable Soccer Goal sets on 04/22/2022, about three weeks ago. Since we got the goal sets, we have use them in 4 weekend pick up games, 4 Boys' U10-12 league practices during weekend, and for several casual play/training in a few cases. So now I am quite good at setting up this goal now. The setup is super easy -- as a matter of fact I cannot think of any other goal set being easier to setup. Basically you need to clip in 4 base bars, then connect two base joints, plug in two bars on each side, then hook on net -- total 12 places to hook up net steady. The material used for bars and wire/hook are in great quality -- top notch. Usually other parents/players helped me to set up the goal together, so far I heard from them are all compliments -- for the high quality goal set. Indeed this goal set deserve all the praise. No complaint at all. After we received the two goal set we went out to test one goal set first. And immediately found the chain connecting four base bar was off for one bar, so one bar is separated from other three still linked together 3 bars. I tried to push back the chain inside the tube to connect 4 bars together again, but it is hard. I thought this is a faulty part so I came back requesting an exchange on amazon. To my surprise the reply was I can keep the goal and Quickplay will send me a new set! wow, what a great customer service!! if I can give 6 star review I won't hesitate to do so! The goal is heavy in the bag, but I don't think it is problem. It is "weighted base" after all. Once setup, it is very sturdy. we can shoot ball hard to the net in short distance and it's like the goal set doesn't feel a thing. At first I hammer in the U-shape pikes to help the goal sturdy, now I feel unless there is strong wind and the goal is facing wind, I don't need to use the four pikes (for each set). Purchased the 18ft goal. Should’ve been fairly simple to put together, however there was a design change not reflected in the manual. The rear bottom supports do curve up slightly. This was a redesign by Quickplay for added support. The manual said easy to assemble but it showed the rear bottom supports FLAT on the ground, sorta confusing. I originally assembled it this way and disassembled because it did not match the pictures. Also, several Amazon 1 star reviews said they had issues as well. Soooo, I thought with my luck I received one of these. After reassembling several times and emailing Quickplay, I confirmed that I put it together right the first time, ahhh! Figured I should write a review and tell y’all about it. Hope that helps. Other than that, I really do like this goal. I spent awhile researching different ones and settled on this one due to its size and portability. It does break down easily and everything fits in the carry bag. It’s a big goal so there is a little weight to it. I’ve only disassembled it once. I usually leave it up in the backyard where it’s been for a few weeks now. The kids love it as well.     • Terrific Goal for home use and portability

Set up is quick and easy. We actually had purchased the Match Fold goal 16x7 first. After the first use, the crossbar began to sag and after working with QuickPlay customer service, we determined it best to move toward the Kickster Elite. We learned that due to our climate, the Match Fold PVC was no match for our hot summers. This fabric and aluminum polls are solid and sturdy. This goal's weighted sides are exactly what makes this goal work so well. We have the 12x6 Kickster Elite goal and my 11-year old loves it. He can assemble and de-assemble himself. The bag seems fine to us so far and with the zipper, it provides better protection and ease of use than the Match Fold goal. The only knock on this goal is that due to the fabric, you cannot use the target net that QuickPlay designed for the Match Fold and Q Fold goals. I cannot see any reason for a negative review of this item for anyone. I would highly recommend this goal to anyone looking to get a portable goal for home use or even taking to the park due to it's ease of portability. I have done a ton of research on goals and have tried a few out. This is one of, if not the best on the market. Buy it and you will not be disappointed, especially with QuickPlays service and backing of their products. That said, the QuickPlay customer service is absolutely superb.
